I had spent a bit of time looking into gold efficiency on core items of each class and found that marksman and mages have the best gold efficiency for raw stats, accounting for raw stats gained from passives such as Haste and Tear of the Goddess. Tanks actually have some of the worst gold efficiency for their core items. Bruiser's standard core is pretty balanced in terms of gold efficiency hovering around 100% on stats alone. Things to consider when running through the numbers is that while tanks and assassins have less gold efficient items, the inherent stats of each class balance out the lack of gold efficiency ie tanks having shields and heals that scale off tank stats and assassins having high flat damage to tear through squishies. Marksman items are pretty gold efficient, a little ahead of the curve which is understandable as most Marksman items are just stat sticks with an extra passive, notable exception being BotRK. Something very alarming was the gold efficiency in mage items, most notably Archangel's Staff/Seraph's Embrace. At face value, it's not very gold efficient, however at completion it has about a 140% gold efficiency off of just the item alone (this is factoring Haste and all the mana gained from passive, but not including the shield or mana refunded). Add in more mana and Seraph's Embrace becomes even more gold efficient beyond 140%. Rabaddon's Deathcap is just as bad with high Gold efficiency on it's own but gaining more efficiency with more AP. All in all, Bruisers aren't too bad in terms of gold efficiency, though the lack of actives is something concerning. The reason I bring actives up is due to the amount of value having an active brings, that being an extra ability the player can access. Tanks and assassins have item actives that don't get factored into gold efficiency all that often making the hidden gold value. The two classes with few item actives are Bruisers and Marksman. As mentioned earlier the lack of actives on marksman items is covered by the increased gold efficiency in their items, Bruiser items don't have nearly the same potency. What am I suggesting? Reduction in gold cost on some items to improve gold efficiency of the items, or alternatively to add item actives to one or two Bruiser items. Stat adjustments can be made though it'd be preferable to not over tune the changes.

I think the balance logic of Riot is "Mages build AP so they can't deal increased dmg with basic attack so its balanced nyah hah" but forget the fact that some of them do. And also, it doesn't matter when Mages can just one shot you in one rotation, have anti Melee mechanics and can build the most broken defensive item in the game (Hourglass).

For Archangel Staff(And mana items in general), I don't think it is fair to 100% count the mana as gold efficiency. Mana is a weird stat, cause it is no combat stat at all(for most champs). Basically: If you dont go oom, having 10k mana or 1k mana makes no difference at all. AA turns mana into AP, but thats actually just... AP as combat stat. The amount of mana tear gives you is, for most champs, way too much. There are a number of exceptions, though: Mana-scalings and champs that actually go oom with AA(Like Anivia). Makes it a bit screwy, but it means the item is far more efficient on those champs. Lastly, this does not mean that mana is worth 0 gold by default - however, 1000 mana is, most of the time, worth as much as only... 500 mana, realistically. Thus, mana items are bound to be over-efficient most of the time, as mana is a non-combat stat. RoA wouldnt be stronger if it gave 500 more mana, but would be weaker if it gave no mana at all. I am not quite sure how to calculate the "realistic value" of mana, so Id line it out seperately if talking about efficiency. On Bruiser items: A giant problem with them are their extremely weak build paths. Jaurims Fist is just a bad item compared to all similar components. DD doesnt grant any spellvamp before 3.5k - and unlike Gunblade, it is only build for its defensive value via vamp and the damage-delay. Before completion, it has extremely little defensive value, despite the item being a defensive one when completed. Cleaver... Supposedly a damage item, but it gives a measly 15 AD until completion, no other damage. Phage is a sad one in general. Steraks grants no shield until completion - and its 3.2k. Zhonyas gets stopwatch and is cheaper, PD is FAR cheaper, Maw at least has Hexdrinker(A bruiser item here, but everyone knows that Maw is very rarely worth it). Again, the item has a confusing and bad build path. Titanic and Ravenous Hydra are both... decent. They are both held back by their high cost, really. FOr the cost they have, they sure are not even a competition in output compared to Rabadons or Inf Edge.

I feel the reason riot refuses to buff top is player perception of the role. In most players minds jax, Aarox, Darius are these horrific monsters who 1v5 every game. In practice most bruiser games are based on going even farming well and moving into a split push type role. People remember the games where jax gets fed in lane instead of going even because a fed bruiser is something you run from. If you have a Vlad go 5/0 in lane get 5 plates etc. I promise you people will still attack him 1v1 and even after getting one shot just shrug. If you have a Darius go 5/0 and get 5 plates no one is going to try to take that 1v1

I also play for fun....I started by playing toplane with tanks tho Urgot and Poppy (back when Urgot was busted in teh middle of tank meta) I was new so I had no fuking idea what was good, but I played those two a lot Now, I dont even wana play either, as no one fuking even plays meele top legit I stopped playing for a while, and the first game I play I get a brand top cuz my jg picked Sett and he thought he was gona lane him my issues with tanks rn is that armor itemization feels busted while mr sucks ass, so you are basically unkillable against ad but if they have even one ap champ, you get hit with abilities that do 1/3 of your health bar

the point about making Top stronger and not actually helping bruisers/tanks/juggernauts actually makes sense, and I never thought about it...if Riot made, like for example, early dragons spawn at top side, the only effect would be carry/support would move to top, and bruisers/tanks/juggernauts or whatever would be forced bot...and they also just cant buff bruisers/tanks/juggernauts just for the sake of it, cause you would end up with a one man army champion(as we saw in the video, Aatrox that "inted" the early game was able to destroy a feed Jhin and also Elise, now imagine that with buffs or item buffs)

I say to make overall balance better, go with smites system of items where every class has a pool of items that only that class can take from, this means a character will be plaid in its inteneded roll and you can directly nerf characters and items without it huring more than that class.

I used to think that it wasn't the jungler's job to help losing lanes. But I have realized that the jungler basically controls which lane wins and which lane loses. Yeah adcs are not supposed to 1V1 if they beat all spells in the fact I know it sounds crazy and it's basically wrong after 3 items but in mid game yeah the adc still die when they tank all spells

@@deusvult9439 The jhin landed all the spells too, not to mention that aatrox is 0 fricking 6, an adc 0/6 landing all spells, wouldn't do half the damage.

Jhin hit 4 autos against a full health Aatrox (with Ninja Tabi), and a bit of a shield from the Senna ult. Meanwhile, Aatrox landed one full Q rotation, at least 3 autoattacks (including a passive proc), a W (with pull), and an extra Q.

@@baluar46 yeah, but just from being able to do that, aatrox it's not weak at all. I know that jhin it's not in good spot right now, at least the last I saw he wasn't, but how many mages, adc, assassins and all other classes that looks overpowered, can 1v1 a fed jhin and not die while being 0/6? Jax is not weak, sett is not weak and aatrox is not weak. I really don't see why people think bruisers are bad. In my opinion (that's nothing) they are ok

Toplanes wash up at this point for me the only thing that makes toplane as a jungler relevant to gank is the RH. Most of my games if I prioritize ganking both and focus on Dragons and souls I always win not only I secure a huge buff for my team I also give my adc a lead as of toplane I gank like 1 or 2 times depends if RH is secured.

But for real every time i play bruiser and win top af get black cleaver death's dance etc. I try to gang mid bc well my mid laners tend to fall behind a bit i just get one shot by Syndra, Veigar and other broken mages who just press Q then R and boom two buttons killed you and u don't even get to hit them once. It's actually so dumb...
