Is Rich Beck named the man mountain because he literally doesn't move? It was clear to see that Little Oakley targeted him throughout the game as Hashtags weakness, every time a ball went over the top they knew they could do him for pace with absolute ease and they exploited it perfectly. He's also lacking tactical awareness, the amount of times he was on the halfway line ball chasing was playground stuff. Unfortunately a team is only as strong as it's weakest player and it's pretty evident that he's just not at the required standard in terms of fitness or technical ability. Naturally you have to take these comments with a pinch of salt but at the same time the comment section is a forum for fans to have their say on the club. Good luck lads!

If devs is reading this comment then. Your advice is brilliant. If you keep saying that to them every week they will start playing with that mentality and I believe that hashtag United can win the league and progress further up the non-league pyramid. I feel like that the defence needs to be improved mainly for speed because strikers are running past the defenders on and off the ball because the defence can't catch up. Keep up the great work and come on #united

It's just like he said in the end of game team talk in the dressing room, either they're hearing him and just not listening, or they're incapable. I'm more inclined to believe for some it's the latter but we'll see anyway.
@jogs166 жыл бұрын
It's not so much that the defence can't catch up, which they can't but there are many slow defenders that are world class, it's the positioning and awareness to be able to stop the long ball and cutting passes I think that sometimes it's takes a while for players to click that it's worth putting the effort in. I don't think they've reached that point yet, maybe this game was that point, we'll see when they play tonight I guess
@SuperKimjong6 жыл бұрын
Jack Smith - exactly, CB is more about reading the game and positioning than anything else. The position of the 2 CB for the first goal was woeful. They've let a striker get between them AND behind them and it's an easy ball over the top. Either get touch tight or drop back and give yourself 10 yards so you can always see them.
@jogs166 жыл бұрын
SuperKimjong yeah they didn't even know the striker was behind them, should've either dropped back early and kept him onside the whole time or spotted his run and followed the run a few yards ahead

In a KZbin climate where being derogatory towards women, joking about suicide victims, and abusing random peers is mainstreamed, I think Spencer deserves huge credit for the work he's done. Not just with Hashtag United but overall. As a father, I'm glad he's trailblazing for the new generation of kids watching this stuff. On Hashtag, I've set up and managed my own team. It was only amateur but I'd have loved to have gone non-league with my mates. It just wasn't possible. I appreciate how hard it is and he has nothing but total respect from me for what he's done. Well done, Spencer. Enjoy it mate!

Allright boys, here it is! The start of the big season! :) I'd like to start by sending my best wishes of a speedy recovery for our skipper. Hope you're allright and return soon Jack ;) As for our debut performance, i'd say it's a pretty solid showing for a newcomer team. People will throw their opinions around like i will probably end up doing here in some way, but know that we all care for you as a team and just want to see you guys achieve the best possible scenario we believe you all are capable of attaining. Now, it's undeniable that our defensive efforts are not up to par at this stage, and that should be our focus going forward. Not only from a match-to-match point of view, but in a practicing training session environment regular based regime. I am not sure how often you guys are training together these days, but you need to make the most out of those sessions guys. There are some drills that sound numbingly boring, but do create an unconscious improvement in your in-game responsivness. From what i've seen from this match, i don't think the problem lies in the commitment and how hard you guys work to get the ball back from the attacking opposition, but rather where your starting position and awareness are to begin with. I think there's a lot of work to be done in training about positioning, tactical discipline and compensation. I'm 100% sure Devs already noticed it as well and will be ammending it as we speak. Practice it in training, with and without the ball. Have one side circle the ball around going forward and concentrate on your defensive position and how you nulify pockets of space and lines of passing. You will see that your body will start responding correctly on impulse after a ton of repetition in training. And that's pretty much it for my analysis, that's the main flaw you guys probably need to work on to become a much more solid side going forward. For any aspect like this that leaves something to be desired, there's a ton of stuff you guys are already doing very good. Composed passing and transportation of the ball going forward, ACW in goal looked laser-focused at all times and kept the team in it at times (huge save on Stamp's unlucky deflection), Tekkers and Carter seem to understand each other's movement and passing very well as a unit, Stamp had a very solid showing despite the forced move to CB hurting him (also gratz on the goal). A loss is a loss, and we should be feeling down and discontent. Something would be very wrong if we, fans and you, players and staff felt this was a succesfull first match. That being said, this match is on the books and it's time to move forward. REMEMBER and THINK of what went wrong. REMEMBER and THINK of what we did correctly. It's about working hard now in training sessions and making sure that NO MATTER WHAT, our next fixture is a superior showing to what this one was. It WAY TOO SOON to have many take-aways from this match. We have no idea if Little Oakley is a bottom or top of the table team, neither should we care. It's about OUR performance and OUR commitment and approach to each match. We will respect each opponent, and fear NONE! We will do better! We will win! DON'T EVER FORGET TO # IT! :)

@RyansNerdCorner_6 жыл бұрын
No you can't and I'm not blaming the loss on Rich Beck however just because one man isn't to blame doesn't mean you can't pin point someones lack of ability. I am sure Devs knows this however Rich is a good friend of Spencers and they want to keep him on as long as possible but he is not at the quality of a starting center back. I'm not just blaming it on he is slow either his positioning is not very good and because of that the team gets caught out much too often. Jack Harrison even in preseason was doing the job of two center halves imo Marcus Stamp should be moved into starting CB he is decent in the air (could be more aggressive for my liking) very good pace for someone his height. His positioning and ball watching need improvement for sure but unlike Rich he has the pace to make up for those errors and with coaching from Devs I am sure Stampy will clean up his game. Obviously this is just my opinion and Rich isn't the only one I think isn't good enough however he is the one I mentioned.

I have followed Hashtag a long time, it takes time to shape a team and get comfortable with all the new players. The defence needs work, Stampy and Dynovski are solid. But the centre needs a bit of work! But keep up the good work and the results will come! Dont forget to hashtag it!

You could win the champions league in three seasons by winning the fa cup this year and then the europa league next year and then the champions league the year after Edit: having watched the kit reveal livestream I now know that it will take four years as we are not aloud to enter the fa cup this year but next year we can!
@nostalgia24586 жыл бұрын
No cause they cant play the FA cup this year
@fpsreactions84816 жыл бұрын
That's not how it works. They have to come top 3-4 in the Premier League to make it to the Champions League. They will be able to make it to the Champions League in 9-10 years.
@stephenasmith89266 жыл бұрын
+FPSReactions FA Cup winners enter the Europa League and the winners of the Europa League enter the Champions League, doesn't matter what league you're in. Not gonna matter to Hashtag United anyway cause they're not winning the FA Cup

Nothing no they won’t. The only way they’ll get there is in a manner that most people don’t like. And that’s by selling out and buying there way up the leagues

Watching these back it’s painfully obvious where the weaknesses were and I’m surprised Devs selected the player in question to begin with. I assume it was done in spirit to try and keep originals involved

Massive credit to Hashtag Utd & Spencer. Devs comments are spot on - moving from the "fantasy" FIFA league (which was just exhibition stuff ) to this is a pretty amazing journey. This is progress, pure and simple. This is also great content; I've loved watching the pre-season stuff. This doesn't happen 'by itself" so all credit to the guys involved in making it happen. Finally, big shout to Dan Brown. Ace striker who always gives credit to his hustling strike partner Ryan Adams. Comes over as a lovely guy as well as someone who deserves this success. Good luck #, am sure better results lie ahead.

So I live in a small village called Long Melford which are in the Thurlow Nunn league premier division 1 premier. This team is in the Thurlow Nunn league division 1 south. So that means if they DID get promoted they would be in the same league as my little village. I have to say I was very happy finding out this news.
