Thank you so much for this! You’ve answered so many questions I had about the type of materials and assembly of the panels, and helped me identify the inner connector. It appears they used a blade type connector such as those found on laptop batteries. Sourcing a 13 pin version was not easy from usual electronics distributors but I did find some via Ali Express. Based on how slowly they ship I might just get them when Hasbro finally ships out their products. I could see people modeling their own inner cartridge for spares and so knowing the part used there would let them interface with the Hasbro equipment.

This is the best thing next to owning one (well, two in the box) as you did everything with details and clear instructions! Anyway, I have a question about the trap lights and sounds: 1) does it mimic the Matty trap when opening/closing? 2) It sounds like the Running Press mini trap IMO.

Thanks so much! Yes it’s similar to the Matty - BUT because it has an opening rather than a sealed interior it does not change color or have the lights move in a pattern (I see this as a mod opportunity in the future) sounds similar perhaps quieter - and shakes. Is much more sturdy than the Matty- Not heard the sounds on the Running Press.

Why did you use a four pin on your build when it seems there was only two wires needed for opening and closing the trap?

This was for a specific Spirit Trap mod - I sent power, and control so used all 4 pins for this.

Say, any idea what that hole on the bottom of the PKE Meter is?I noticed it in Jason's video.

@@ExperienceExplorers Huh, I don't recall it ever being mounted on a tripod. Was almost hoping they were doing a bit of future proofing for possible paragoggles like they sort of did with the Spengler wand and pack.

Yeah - the only thing I can think of is you mount it on a tripod and put it in EMF mode so it detects changes in one spot rather than you moving it. The pedal also has the same mount in its base.

Hi! Yes it’s a laser cut - it’s explained in the video I have on my channel about making a smoking trap (link in the discription of this video). I do plan on putting the measurements etc out there - but could also create an STL version.

Would love to know if one could upgrade the opaque red light cover to the screen accurate translucent red light cover on the trap. That, and I know people have been complaining about the switch not being accurate, and if that was accessible to mod out. Thanks again for the quality update!

Imperial Tech Shop US on Etsy has a bar graph cover diffuser they sell for the Haslab neutrona wand. They should be offering mods for the Haslab ghost trap sometime soon. They also have LED diffusers for the Haslab proton pack cyclotron lights, which I have on my own and it makes the world of difference.

So I'm a little confused, is your Trap just especially loud or were you taking special care to capture the noises like with the Morse Code part? I've been looking over a bunch of youtube videos of these things and everyone seems to hear the traps and pick up the noises great on camera, but everyone I know that has one can barely hear anything from the traps, mine included. Its super duper quiet where the PKE is perfectly fine and audible.

I hope that you can answer to the following questions, since no one of the other creators/influencers did: 1)is there a rumbling function that let the trap shake after capturing a ghost like the matty trap? 2)PKE Meter's lights. Can you swap to the GB2 light patterns on the wings like you could with the Matty PKE? Thank you!!

1) yes it rumbles - and appears to shake when a ghost is trapped and when it’s in idle mode when a ghost makes a sound from the trap - is heavier as a trap than the Matty - so does not move as much as the Matty does. 2) I haven’t looked into this - I’ll see (out of town this week so won’t be able to try until the weekend)
