@@yuko13371it is. And you don’t even need these support wheels for beginners like loomis method, it’s just getting a feel for how faces are constructed by observing people. You basically can reconstruct a face just from an eye. It’s all mathematics and geometry. The rest is fine tuning based on attributes if a person is thin, normal or fat as an elephant.

Andrew Loomis!...Some beautiful paintings he did as magazine illustrations displayed in a small art supply store outside Hollywood (can't remember the name - only fine arts supplies). The girl told me her father owned the store and Loomis bought all his supplies there. She said he was always broke and ran an ongoing tab with her good natured dad who appreciated his talent. One day he pulled up in his station wagon jam packed with stuff in the back. Loomis explained the stuff was a bunch of commissioned paintings crowding his studio and he was on his way to the dump t5o throw them away. Her dad was aghast and said he'd gladly take all the paintings. There was at least 15 fairly large works lined up around thee store near the ceiling. I asked her about the books he wrote - which I myself learned from...at the time...(1998-99) she said they werte thinking about another run as her father was given the publishing rights by Andrew...(Charette??Store is something like that)...Wonderful works! The best and most thorough instruction...Tip-Top!!! A treat to see if they're still there...!

If you want to know why isnt exactly like the reference, its pretty some tiny stuffs, (the draiwng is gorgeous by the way) first the head is mor tilted up, we can see it because of the tip of her chin, you she the jawline curves up aalmost ends in the same spot, also the hea dis more turned to the side, this can be seen by the tip of the nose and the way the eyes seems to shrink in size, also we can see it becaus eif you make a line from the piercing to the eye, i. The drawing is smaller which leads to a more fornt view, also the loomis method does use a circle but most of the time it isnt the actual head and the corners arent exactly the corners of the head, to understand this you can grab a front and side photo of yourself, make a cirlce in the front and the when you go side view it will be barely more than a half of the size of the head from the side view, thats why the loomis method cuts slightly the side of the circle because its bigger than it should in porpouse, the other thin is the shoulder, in the draiwng the neck or lets say the distance between shoudler and head is bigger than the reference which leads to the "camera" to appear more in a paralel with the head, instead of looking from below like the reference, thsi doesnt mean its exactly worng but its not exactly like the reference :D
@maxixd311Ай бұрын
And other things, but this could change art style, which are the distance between the eyes is bigger in the reference but this only because of where the camera is angled
