@@margauxamonou3305I stopped all my drawing and artwork over 6 years ago. I’ve missed it so much but every time I would try to begin a project, I just couldn’t make myself even begin to work on it. Happy to say that a couple weeks ago, a friend was begging me to demonstrate some fundamental techniques on figure drawing, and I managed to oblige. I spent three hours teaching them what I have learned through the years & had the best time doing it, and I’ve been back to creating my own artwork again ever since! If you’re experiencing an artistic block, maybe try easing back into it by way of teaching someone else? Pretty sure that’s the only reason why this worked for me. I love teaching almost as much as I love art! Much love 🫶🏻

the loomis technique is lovely and all but for beginners i, and a lot of other artists, wouldn't recommend it. art is a concept, a theory. beginners probably dont understand why they draw the circles at the side of the head. they probably wont understand the logic behind this technique at all, just blind copying. which can only take you so far. so for all beginners, dont rush it. learn your theory. learn your anatomy. don't skip it at all. then maybe come back to the loomis technique, and you'll understand a bit more
@s7z7gy8 ай бұрын
Mb the tutorial could’ve better if they explained it more? Mb just research the loomis technique and how it works.
@micahh__8978 ай бұрын
@@s7z7gy yeah of course. but my point was that beginners may not understand anatomy, may not understand proportions yet, like the theory part of art rather than the practice, which can stunt their art growth

The majority of people will not feel his passion and therefore not move forward and be able to produce at this/his level. They will pursue other things or nothing. We are all blessed, but do we realize it and grow and that/those areas? It's all about God's† gifts. Have a blessed day. Peace.
@Sam-ub7dt8 ай бұрын
I think "passion" probably means less here than you might assume. Discipline beats passion any day of the week. There's no shortage of people who are passionate about art but who never progress very far (or at all) because they fail to practice deliberately and consistently. The point I was initially trying to make is that you can't look at the finished product of a skilled artist and then assume that it's primarily due to some sort of inborn and inherent talent. This artist, and every other one of comparable ability, would be nothing without thousands of hours under their belt, and there's no single inherent genetic or congenital attribute like "passion" that one can point at to explain it - it's primarily deliberate practice engaged in consistently over a long period of time.

focus on the drawing procedures , sometimes you need to watch it and watch then you dissect it.... then you modify it to fit your own style sometimes it is just silence that is needed for a being to learn, take your time observe and then try it's fine to make a funny drawing or so, just remember without practice no skills is permanent all we learn if you don't exercise it everyday the body just forgets so practice practice practice, observe observe observe, modify modify modify never underestimate your patience 👀 stop using voices and lectures no one cares just act and practice that's how you get better, there's no real verbal or action based learning we learn all neither medium you have 5 senses all of it works
@onepencildrawing9 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your perspective. You've highlighted an important aspect of learning art, which involves a combination of observation, practice, and adaptation. Indeed, silence and focused attention can be powerful tools for learning. Your emphasis on consistent practice and modification to develop one's style resonates well. It's a reminder that skills are honed through repetition and refinement. Each individual's learning journey may vary, but the essence lies in active engagement and dedication. Your insights are appreciated. 👍🎨

Very since I was little, I have always been a decent artist. But never was able to draw human faces correctly. I'm going to work my butt off tryna get these proportions right. Thank you though, your art/tool helps a lot.
