Hastings Model Train Show on Kings Birthday Weekend 2024

Great to see a there is still a model railway group in Hastings! I was a member of the Hastings MRC from 1963 until the late 1960’s, if memory serves me right, when we formed the Heretaunga MRC. Old names from those days, both clubs, were Russell Smith, Ian Malloch, Snow Newrick, Bill Richmond, Neville Rapley, and from Napier, Roger Heiford, Bruce Kidby and Alan Bellamy. We had a couple of Hobby Shows over the years, one at the what is now Hastings Art Gallery.

Very cool. I am looking at returning home. So very cool to see there are clubs to join not far from where I grew up.
