I feel that most people should have these harness systems for home defense. If you are under attack and getting swarmed you may have to go to the roof and take Higher Ground and when you need to you're going to have to come down and the harness would be very effective doing so. While rappelling down you could still be engaging the targets.

Arc teryx makes a really slick system that is similar to this and can fit in a cargo pocket.. I recommend checking that system out too if you want lighter and less restrictive

Crye used to have a similar thing, I think it was the LRB that had leg loop harness attachments. I thought it was a really cool idea, and then they discontinued it for some reason.

Because it was complicated enough to get people hurt or dead .... I can get in a full harness faster than you can monkey with all this other gear . And I am not in a hurry when rigging up to hang from stuff anytime.
