According to my inflation calculator $125.00 in 1955 is $1455.44 today, so not much difference with the price.

Hello, Chris! It's Steve the retired Jersey Trooper here! I'm still alive and shooting! I'll be 72 in October and hope to get to another of your classes (my fourth or fifth) before they plant me! Smith & Wesson just came out with a .45 Colt version of this rifle, and it's going to be my next purchase since it will be a great companion to my 1930 (former NY State Police) Colt New Service revolver in .45 Colt. I hope you are doing well! Take care!

I've just been curious and maybe you can tell me, why don't manufactures make any of these modern lever action rifles around the 1886 action? Or maybe someone does and I just haven't seen them? Thanks

I think things like this are products of the industry wanting to sell more under the guise of tactical application. I can think of absolutely zero times I have personally ever needed that including on combat deployments. Institutional inbreeding as one of my favorite instructors likes to say.

That $155 gun in 1955 is $1800 today. I have a mid 70's 4" blued Python that I bought new for like $375. Great revolver. It's almost too good to shoot. On a practical carry level other than open carry hunting. No. Too heavy. Too big. Too short of capacity.
@montecraig703221 күн бұрын
As a handloader I wish the cylinder was slightly longer. You really have to watch your cartridge over all length.

@robertfox452422 күн бұрын
I have one. It's a well made gun, but the single M-lok slots are hot garbage. Most m-lok accessories need 2 slots. So far, that is my only complaint. Anyone know of a light that will mount on this gun? Not "should", but one that you have actually seen mounted?

Does it have to be run wet? If I’m hunting snow geese and need to fire hundreds of rounds in a day it sounds like it could be a pain to relube it in the field.
@TheofficialCostaludusАй бұрын
No, most cans are wet or dry. The new ones that can be pulled apart cans be Vaseline’s to make about 15 shots slightly more quiet than dry. The old cans you would take a cap of water pour it in the can and shake the can to get it in between the baffles.
