@Shinay Really? I just did an a/b comparison of both songs, out of curiosity. Nope. Sure, both singers are female with a similar vocal range, and that is about as close a comparison as I can draw. Melody is quite different, instrumentation is different, song structure is different. Maybe a vaguely similar overall vibe is comparable but no reasonable person should be able label that as a “ripoff”.

Going back to the 90's is absolutely the right thing to do. For many different reasons, music lost its way in the early 2000s, and today, we have a couple of generations of people who never grew up with the tradition of building on what came before. Throughout music history, that's exactly what people used to do. That's how music progresses instead of stagnating and becoming disposable. Keep going back, Hatchie. It's the only way forward.

Heard this song (and your lovely voice) at Bath/Body Works in Sherman Oaks Ca. I immediately had to know who the artist was, so I quickly put down the peach🍑 scented soap (which also TASTES as good as it smells😋) & held my phone up towards the speaker to determine the artist? Just then security rushed in & tackled me (and confiscated my📱) cause I was tasting the soaps after smelling them! After all, the store had put labels on various soaps saying "Try Me", & so I did! I NOW know they meant "Try me" was for washing your hands & smelling the soap products ONLY, NOT for tasting! 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ When I was finally being released from the Mall jail (due to good behavior) they handed my phone back to me & to my Amazement....YOUR SONG was still DISPLAYED on my phone (via Google song search)!👍🏼 This is a MEMORY I will have (and CHERISH) for the rest of my life....and "This Enchanted" will ALWAYS remind me of it!✨🎶😏
