I grew up not turning duck eggs, mostly due to the fact my first experience with duck eggs was in elementary school where the teacher did not turn the eggs. I have had around an 80% fertility and that's with a child who does not spray the eggs and did not turn the eggs. Also, always kept them at a lower temp then recommended. Ur like, 80%? Out of what. Lots of Mallard eggs XD Currently have 8 metzer farm mixed eggs, 2 we infertile, 1 seems to have had a late death. With all five there is 1 with way to much liquid at day 26. BUT still alive.i did spray this time Anyway, not turning does work, have had good success with it as a child who had zero knowledge. But that could be due to the breed of duck? Not sure.

Thank you for commenting and watching so many vedios of mine! Everyone is different with hatching and I support all methods that work well with their owners eggs. And yes it could be different breeds require different things through evolution and how the eggs mom would naturally incubate them.

I had to toss the call duck egg last night. I had candled before I put rice and ugh... But however the duck egg that had internal cracked is one of the ones who hatched!

What was the humidity ? I know so many people that run 45-55 humidity from day 1-25 then up it to 70 ish for final 3 days. Ducks live on the water and nest right beside it. They go swim and come back and sit on the eggs with wet tummy Your non turned eggs never developed as fast and when they don’t get turned they can grow into the side of the egg The mom turns her eggs everyday. To get a good hatch rate you need to think like a duck. Also putting eggs on top of eggs would prevent proper ventilation for the egg itself. This could be the reason the fluid was so high Sorry it didn’t work out for you I appreciate all the day to day updates as these can be very helpful to others. However I don’t think doing experiments with living babies is okay. They suffer and died when they could have thrived.
