Coming in REALLY late with this update, but I just found out Maddy Brookall (the og creator of the top I sewed) made her own video teaching how she made that bow tie tank, so here's the link if you want to check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpDWZmCCgc2cZ9k

My problem with zippers is if I gain or lose weight then they become an obstacle. Also if you don't have the "right" body for them, they hit weird on the body and make that awful wavy bit in whichever seam they're placed in. Overall, I will always pick clothes I can slip on, tie on, or button on(bonus points if there are multiple button hole options, meaning adjustability, adjustability is key) Also! I would love to see your take on the 18th century petticoat, it's totally size adjustable, entirely customizable, and I think it's a great staple piece🤗 YES more of these please, it's always nice to see different things in action because it can seriously help with inspiration.

Yes please do a series! I'm always looking for tips on how to add buttons to patterns that call for a zipper. My body fluctuates too often and I'm not the biggest fan of zippers.

I am in awe at your confidence in cutting and sewing! Your 15 years of sewing definitely show. I will try to replicate the second one, the top, and I will be checking up on the different closures :)

I hate zippers! Most of the things I’ve made are big enough to just pull on but thank you for this video because I have a tighter top I can’t decide how to close 😝

Entertaining, but I love my zippers....makes my body easy to get in and out of clothes.

totally valid, i just have a personal vendetta against zippers 😂

@shortiebae152 not every body can handle the power of a statement tie, and it's okay that you're one of those people.
@shortiebae1525 ай бұрын
@@NeighborhoodOfBlue I like ties too. I am fortunate to have perfected how to install zips well that I even now have to restrain myself from putting zips in any new garment I make now....and explore other closure options like buttons or snaps or ties.
