I remember being obsessed with Martha Stewart over 30 years ago and her crafts and recipes were always intricate and rarely low cost. I remember a cranberry wreath craft that took days to make, but did look gorgeous. Thanks for bringing back the memories 👍

I've been learning linocutting over the last month and when I first started I bought rubber-mats that look similar to the rubberstamp you used because it was marketed as "for beginners" and was supposed to be easier than regular linomats. But! I actually find that it's the opposite, regular linocut mats are waaay easier to carve because it doesn't create as much friction as with the rubber ones! Although I'd definitely reccomend investing in one or two linocutting knives (there are decent cheap ones online, I started with just one v-shaped precision knife and one u-shaped broader knife). Just thought I'd share in case you wanna get into making more stamps!

Very cute projects 🙌 I watched the Martha documentary and was sad her husband divorced her because she pretty much chose her crafting business over him 😢…Like man need to understand we’re serious about our domestic arts. 😅

Martha Stewart isn't a household name around here, so this was a fun look into something I've never been exposed to before! also those stockings are so cute!!

Sorry for asking this, but can you turn on closed captions? I'm learning English and sometimes it's easier for me to have CCs because it's hard to understand accents and the context of the sentence hehe Also, I loved the Halloween video one of my first contact with your content s2

This was so fun! Now I want to try making some outfits like this. I have always loved the look of fitted shirts under tailored dresses in You’ve Got Mail. It also reminds me of one scene in Sound of Music in which Maria has a similar layered look, but with a different skirt silhouette.

Meg Ryan is the GOAT when it comes to classy effortless style. Have you ever seen the movie “me before you” I love emilia clarke’s charters aesthetic. Would you ever consider doing a character breakdown?

I love these! I do find it funny that I spent most of my late teens and early twenties dressing like this as Meg Ryan was my style icon and I went to see each of these films as they came out in the cinema 😂😂 I’m giving my age away there 😖. I also agree When Harry met Sally is my all time favourite!

I've never seen a slip dress identified by name, but now that I have, I need to say: it's rather like an Edwardian dress, in that it looks rather like a nightgown. I like this breakdown of how to unpick characters' costumes to find clothing elements (texture, fabric weight, shape, palette) that fit the character or setting and might appear in the wardrobe one already has. Man, I remember when T'Witches came out ... I chose not to watch it, because I was already a fan of the book series and didn't trust film adaptations of books to not change or get rid of my favourite parts. They wouldn't have the *time* to address *half* of my favourite story arcs. Somewhere I read that you can grind up roasted pumpkin seeds and use them as a flour substitute; though it included a disclaimer that you can't replace *all* the flour with it. I use the same trick you do with hot chocolate, pouring some hot water in and stirring it to dissolve the powder before filling the mug the rest of the way.

Very nice work! Pants cloning is one of the best ways to acquire new pants. Especially if you like coloured or printed pants - whenever I go pants shopping, everything in my size is black, dark blue, or sometimes dark brown, and the only prints are on pajama pants.

Those gory gingerbread cookies get more and more seasonal as you take bites out of them! Skull jam thumbprints are a fun idea, too. I bet they could also make good jack-o-lantern cookies, maybe with apricot jam filling so they're orange. I think at least some Christmas cookies, like gingerbread (which can get pretty elaborately decorated), became Christmas cookies because people baking them were only willing to put in the effort once a year. My mom and I both enjoy baking, but by the time we're cutting out the last dozen gingerbreads, we are *done* with them.

Handkerchief hems are so perfect for leafy or petal hems! I like how shiny it is. The 'undershirt' looks like a design choice rather than a precaution. The sleeves are a fun fantasy element but there is definitely a lot going on even without them. I don't know if you've seen 'Strange Magic' but the pink and green layering of the skirt in the concept sketch reminds me of Marianne (the protagonist)'s green and dark pink tunic. You might have fun with the fairy costumes from that movie too! (It's Disney, 2015, from when they acquired Lucasfilm, but they did like *no* advertising or merchandising for it so it's relatively obscure. CGI jukebox musical loosely inspired by 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Not for everybody, but the people who like it *really* like it.)

LOVE this!!!!!! I’m a midsize girly with chronic pain and other medical issues. Always dressed to hide or wore whatever was “good enough” to get by. However I’m a huge nerd and love the Hobbitcore (and some elements of cottagecore) styles. Hoping to one day be able to assemble a wardrobe that reflects how I want to look. When it comes to putting together outfits my brain literally cannot compute 😅 and I. Get frustrated when things I find or order do not fit or turn out how I want to. I’d love to learn to sew some day (when my finances and body allows) to be able to create the pieces I love and are just right. Now that I found this video I will be obsessing over your channel 🙌 are you on IG as well?!
