Three years ago i was madly depressed. The pandemic had just started, had no job, no money, and was dealing with various personal problems. For some reason, I clicked on a KAS:ST link and listened to this music, and I instantly felt connected. I started listening to techno again, began dancing alone in my room to feel alive, kind of therapy, idk?. I promised myself that if I survived the pandemic i would go to a techno. I was 21 at the time. I was afraid to go, afraid of being judged, of not fitting into the 'scene'. In 2021 i got a terrible job but continued listening to techno, still with some hesitation about going to raves due to lack of time, money, and cowardice as well. In 2022, I found the courage to go, and it changed my life in a way that i can't describe. I'm not someone who fits the standard of beauty, but I don't care about that at raves. I go, talk to my friends, listen to hard techno, drink, and dance until the night turns into day. I gained self-esteem I never had. Because of this newfound self-esteem, I left mediocre jobs and am studying to pursue better opportunities in the field of 3D art. In a way, without KAS:ST, this wouldn't have been possible. I experienced inexplicable moments, traveled through cities to go to technos, attended raves and football games on the same day. I was reborn from the ashes. I lost one year of my life to the pandemic in order to live the rest of it while there is still time. I owe kasst a lot. Thank you if you read this comentary!

It definately is art. It's telling a story. It's an illustration of the life that sadly more and more people live. It's portraying the downward spiral which you experience, while in contact with drugs (especially by heavy usage) or criminal energy in general. greaf, greed, depression, anxiety, hopelessness, not thinking or too much thinking, it's no joke and this video really shows that. therefor it's art. but opinions.. :)

@fridayishighday80165 жыл бұрын
Yeah its a great illustration. Especially when they decided to get guns and rob a bank, thats a normal monday to me. In my opinion its a great fiction and suits the music well but it's far far away from actual raver life nowadays. Back in the 90s Ravers were drug abusing scum to the normal people, nowadays its kind of an "intellectual and edgy" thing to go to raves.
@fridayishighday80165 жыл бұрын
@Vasilije B Depends on where you live. Where I live (Germany) its accepted and normal to go to raves and even on illegal raves there are plenty of people who dont take drugs (mostly people over 25-30). People who really love techno and the culture behind it understand that the music itself is the drug. EDIT: Sure there are small minded, traditional people who still have that picture in mind but honestly speaking for myself: Who Cares?!

I was in Barcelona earlier in the Spring, attending one of the best raves of my life. Pure joy, pure techno, pure ecstasy. As always, it finished when the sun was up, maybe a bit later. We strolled at the beach. Fearless, full of motion, full of feelings. Kings of our stories, heroes of our tales. We are so young and numb, the kind of humans we always wanted to be. Met a ton of people that night, liked some, made friends, fell in love with them, barely recalling any of them. Maybe some faces, some moves, some names. I walked every inch of that city that day, sipping my sports drink, trying to recover from an amazing night. Next thing I remember is sitting on an awful chair, of a low cost airline, taking off at the airport. I had kas:st on my headphones, this particular track. My gut was kicking, the feeling of this coming to and end was killing me. I was looking out of the plane window, gazing the sunset, looking for some hope in those purple evening clouds. I was looking at the beach and the calm sea seeking for help. Suddenly all of that context was soothing my soul. I looked at the ground, still taking off, spotted some pools and small villas. Plane took a turn , heading to Europe. And there, there was a graffiti by a pool. It read, "KAS:ST". That, was beyond me. I enjoyed every little moment I had left and fell asleep.

this video is such a well executed transparent and genuine reflection of the reality we live in, that is especially relevant to this depicted European area of the world. Euphoria, depression, frustration, anger, intoxication, and loneliness are some of the very frequently recurring states that we find ourselves in as humans living in this period of history, living in the age of decadence, where only a very few things still have meaning.
@aleykhoga53884 жыл бұрын
@@HomoFullyErectus Nick, son .. What do you possibly know about history ? Nothing much apparently. If you did, however, know anything significant about the vast and perplexing subject, you would know that the equivalent term of the word "Decadence" has been clearly mentioned, described and explained within the historical documentation of countless civilisations ranging across multiple timelines within history, some of which, are Sumerian, Ancient Egyptian, Ancient Greek, and Roman historical texts .. It signified the particular period when those civilisations have politically, socially, and economically oversaturated and thus reached a point where they, as societes, were over-indulging in recreational activities and have predominantly lost interest in the fields of work which were the initial cause of their greatness and success as empires. Hope that helps Dick, I mean, Nick ..
@aleykhoga53884 жыл бұрын
Nick, it doesn't really matter what you "Think". This is not an opinion, these are factual cyclic phenomena that have been observed back when countless great civilizations have fallen, and accordingly, have been documented and communicated to us, in the case of the fall of Rome for example, by the likes of, Seneca, Livy, Plutarch, and Cassius Dio. These periods of decadence leading to the fall of such empires have been described as periods of extreme comfort, luxury, overspending, overemphasis and excessive appeal to trivial and mainly recreation subjects and activities. If you cannot draw similarities between such descriptions and the state of events that characterize the world we live in today, then this discussion is pretty much futile, and it is not I that is full of shit but you who is completely consisted of it.

This song and music video takes me on a journey through time and emotion every single time I listen to it. The combination of haunting melodies, hypnotic beats, and the captivating visuals in the music video create an atmosphere that's simply mesmerizing. It's like stepping into a dream, where reality blurs and all that matters is the raw energy pulsating through every note. There's something about this song that taps into a deep sense of nostalgia within me. It's like a reminder of past experiences, moments I've lived and cherished, but somehow, it feels fresh and new with every listen. It's a testament to the power of music to evoke emotions and memories, to transport us to places we've never been and to times long gone. In short, this song and its accompanying visuals are nothing short of perfection. They capture a feeling, a vibe, a lifestyle that so many of us yearn for-a sense of freedom, of abandon, of living life to the fullest. It's a masterpiece in every sense of the word, and I'm grateful for my friend that showed me this song :)
