I have both been a fan of Circa since seeing them open for Thursday and Rise Against in 2005, and I'm also a recovering heroin addict. I say this to just preface my main point, which is that it's so sad to watch Anthony in this video. The first thing heroin takes from you when you pick up is your spirit. And as amazing a performance as this is, I can see that Anthony is without spirit. He might not have been high for this show, but it definitely had a grip on him. I love this band and this man so much and I hope Anthony finds his peace once again. And also this was not to shame him; I just wanted to express my feelings of seeing this, as a fellow addict, fan, and human being ❤️

If they come together to do older album reunions that would be amazing. I went to the on the letting go anniversary tour and it was so nostalgic and amazing. I was crowd surfing, belting lyrics, felt like a kid again. So much fun. And their first few albums still hit. So good.

To be honest, as far as Circa is concerned, I feel like it's gotta be his addiction problems that are the main reason for their hiatus. If I was a betting man, I would say that the other members of Circa probably realized how lucky they were to be able to start playing shows again after Covid, and Anthony causing them to drop off of everything because he relapsed again was probably the last straw. I say this as an AG fan, but... when your band has been around for almost 20 years, and you are STILL cancelling shows and tours because one of the members just can't get his shit together, it would be able too understandable for the other guys to just say "fuck this, we've got families now and we can't afford to be at the whims of your drug addiction."

I set a goal in 2005. That goal was to see them 30 times live. I knew it was a ridiculous goal and one that would probably never actually be attainable. Show number 1 was in 2005. Here we are 17 years later. I made it to 27 shows. So close. And now……….I can never complete it. So close, so close.
