My absolute favorite band of all time. I’ve been listening to them for almost 20 years now which is fucking wild to say lol I’ve seen them like about 8 times and it’s such a beautiful place to be. Never will you go and experience and crowd like circa. We all scream and sing together. Through the desert alone is a fucking master piece

Michael Tucker judging by this comment and how many likes it has, I’m not the only one having trouble finding that song on KZbin for some reason. What’s going on with it?
@VLM_25815 жыл бұрын
@@newdivide9882 Because many Circa Survive's albums are blocked (worldwide) on KZbin. Sorry for my late answer.
@newdivide98825 жыл бұрын
V.L.M That’s alright. Do you know why they’ve been blocked? The changed labels a while ago, so I can’t see that being the reason
@VLM_25815 жыл бұрын
@@newdivide9882 I asked them on Facebook but they didn't answer me. I think it's about some copyright stuff, you know, label policies, or maybe piracy. I have no idea; but it's possible to ask Anthony on Twitter, he is kind to the fans.

This band is brilliant! The musicianship, the vocals, everything is absolute perfection. It boggles my mind that these dudes found each other and managed to create a successful band. This kind of talent in one room is so rare.

It's sad that this day will never be replicated again. The band, Anthony's vocals; They all come together for an amazing, and possibly greater-than-the-album experience. Years of harsh vocals, age, and drugs have taken a toll and the vocals will never be this pure again. Takes nothing out of circa currently just saying, it's sad how life works, and this moment is beautiful, and I'm glad it's on tape forever.

Anthony sounds great live. Phone recordings always degrade the sound due to compression and poor recording. I feel forever fucked over for not getting to see the whole album live
@Deafzone29 Жыл бұрын
He’s right. Doesn’t take away from the genius of AG. Hes still great and has adapted his voice. But this is one hundred percent his prime. Anyone who is a singer and has knowledge of the voice, knows that without proper technique and taking care of your voice, it will eventually take its toll
@DaltonRayStephens Жыл бұрын
These studio “live” performances are heavily doctored up. They do a lot of mixing to the vocals and instruments to make it sound this good. They could easily replicate this today.

Bahahaha! They gave him an empty mic stand so he'd stop swinging around their expensive microphone lol. As a hobbyist recording tech, I empathize. As a Circa fan, swing that shit, Anthony.
@andrewalarcon8184 жыл бұрын
that's a cheap 400 dollar shure mic, he specifically used a mic stand so it wouldn't interfere with the performance while still being able to perform comfortably
@andrewgarcia31363 жыл бұрын
@@andrewalarcon818 watch the whole video dude. there is the stand with the mic on it, and then later in the video he's also swinging around an empty stand while he sings at the one with the mic on it. that is what the guy was pointing out. chill out mr. right all the fucking time.
@viridiancitysound7377 Жыл бұрын
It’s probably because usually he is gripping a mic and probably hard. No he didn’t interfere with the recording when he was grabbing the one with the shure on it, but probably wanted a little more freedom and so he could really grip down on it. this is just my opinion. 🙏🏼

how can someone physically sing like that, it’s so beautiful
@gamacichi Жыл бұрын
His voice is naturally set higher than most men, so he can hit those higher notes with more ease and less strain than others. That isn't to say his aggressive style of singing, paired with a past history of substance abuse as well as getting older, has damaged his voice, making it more raspy and harder to sing his early songs from the 2000's
@schmidtandjenko11 ай бұрын
@@gamacichi yeah, the substance abuse is difficult to have any empathy for but it is unfortunate. im glad that he can still perform and that he had found compromise in a lot of ways he used to sing.

@soysaucehairdye78694 жыл бұрын
his screams are probably using some compression in his diaphragm to allow him to add vocal fry instead of full throaty nodsule inducing screams. He's a high tenor that has been screaming forever and in Translating the Name you can tell he had the vocal fry technique down at a young age.
