My first Exploited gig was at Birmingham Cedar Club on Saturday 9th May 1981. Since then, I have seen them dozens of times all over the UK. Jibbed trains, dossed in waiting rooms, done all that stuff. Second time I saw them was cupla months later at Northampton Roadmender. During the stage invasion at the end, I nicked a bottle of cider by the drum kit. Me and my mates supped it on the train home.

I discovered Exploited when I was twelve, and I saw them for the first time a few days ago. Me and my friend just stood there and watched and I way pretty socially anxious, being around that many people. But I am really happy that I went there, because punk is a part of me and my roots to this world and they kick ass. I'm 35 now by the way, and yes I'm stoned👌

@@skwishydude True, but if I understand it right, the U.S. is harder for bands to tour than many other countries. I think Europe venues help out with lodging, maybe meals at times? U.S. can be expensive without the extra support. Probably a lot of other things I am not aware of too. Small clubs might not allow for enough revenue to cover a tour?

You can be if it's in your mind & in your heart. I don't know what "real to the bone punk" means but nobody has to spike their hair or dress any certain way or be in a band to be punk. Never was about that. Most of my favorite bands & favorite people never cared about all that stuff. I'm not old school. I was just born when punk started but I've been into it for 30 years now...just as much as I ever was.

@@jesusgavemeaids What I mean is not just being a listener, but live it. Yeah. Mohawk, the clothes, all of it. Unfortunately I'm 52 and couldn't get away with it. Lol! I'm a long hair hardcire metal head who knows where thrash metal got it's influences and a lot of these influences were late 70s, early 80s punk bands like the Exploited, the Misfits, the Sex Pistols, etc. I'm a huge Misfits fan. I knew of them before Metallica released the $5.98 EP. I love the fuck you attitude and fearlessnes they had. Not to mention I am also a huge horror movie nut case fan. I thought nothing else was to come and then the Murderdolls came out in 02 and I fell in love. Their simple yet catchy songs hooked me in. They owe that to the originators of it all and that is punk. My band does a lot of Misfits and Murderdolls covers as well as the Exploiteds Alternative. I play guitar. Punk was like a religion in it's heyday. I respect that.

I grew up with punks,they were older than me but they got me in to exploited. Most of them are gone now and it makes me so happy that wattie is still with us!❤😅😢
