I was about 12 in '83 and a mate (in durban South Africa) had a cassette and said listen to this shit my sister brought home. It was the most beautiful sound I ever heard. Never imagined I'd get to see them nearly 30 years later in Johannesburg... and at almost 40 years of age, I moshed my fucking head off for 2 hours 😂. Came out with a few injuries but no gig before and no gig in future will be as special as that night. Fuck yeah!!!!

Remember seeing The Exploited somewhere, possibly Newcastle, and a load of Hibernian lads harangued Wattie non-stop throughout the gig from the front of the stage, because he supports their rivals Hearts. As I grew up with this band...All the Punks I knew had to wear at least a patch, buttons and shirt. Because the imagery was cool. But in reality nobody liked their musik. At least the guys I knew. I don't know why. It is a great and somewhat underrated band. My first LP...When I was 14...20years ago,Was let's start a war...said Maggie one day. I still own it. And any other Exploited LP followed over the years. Exploited Live always is a kick in the arse. Credits for constantly touring anyway. Despite Watties health problems. This band gets much hate from some people. Too metal / hardcore for some punks and to punk for the rest ha ha. Hope there will be a new album anyway. Wattie told something about a few years ago. Hope this will happen.

How could you compare the Exploited to the pistols? No comparison. Its as though the Exploited were an extinction of the pistols. What a joke! All they had was the image of that period in time. Shock value.
