Yuuup. I've been a Dodger fan since 1977. There were a lot of ups and downs during that time. I remember losing to the Yanks back-to-back in '77 & '78. Fernandomania and the '81 WS win was epic. The Gibby homer in '88 was timeless. Then nothing in the 90s and 2000s. Then the McCourt era. Yikes! Dodger fans always led the league in attendance until we finally "unofficially" boycotted the McCourt's ownership and fell off in attendance until they sold the team. New ownership brought a new era. Dodgers were back to their winning ways leading up to the 2017 WS. Wouldn't you know it, the trashtros cheated the Dodgers out from finally winning the WS since '88. Then the covid season with card board fans, the Dodgers FINALLY were World Champuons again. Buuuut, evreryone was saying that wasn't a real WS championship, Dodger fans couldn't have a parade and there was just something missing from 2020's win. Fast forward to the Ohtani era and the Dodgers beat, of all teams, the original 'Evil Empire' Yankees in 2024 and now we are seeing the beginning of a Dodger dynasty. Let the haters hate as long as the Dodgers cement themselves as the team of the 2020s and beyond. We've been through hell and high water as Dodger fans, so it is nice to finally be the ones everyone else is trying to knock off the mountain top. GO DODGERS FOREVER!!!💙

As a Dodger fan that had to sit through the '74 WS, '77 WS and the '78 WS and listening to Joe Buck who basically told me that the Dodgers were going to lose the 2017 World Series, yeah, this made me smile too. Never thought of ourselves as the Evil Empire. The last few years we haven't made it out of the 1st round in the playoffs, the Padres played us into an elimination game this year, we had pitching problems all year. People are over reacting to this free agent stuff. The Yankees did the same thing with their lineup but they came up short. You can't stack a lineup and expect to run away with the pennant. It just doesn't work that way. I will hate to see Gavin Lux go but he's a good ball player and will end up on a roster quickly.
