@Hat Films... There is iron ore in the walls of the room you are in. Hit the trees in that room for elven wood which unlocks a few handy things like the workbench where you can make bows and better backpacks. Oh and for the love of all the buggery, Please build a repair bench, You can fix any piece of equipment with just a few metal scraps it is a game changer. And the meals you are eating give you different buffs but only at the correct time of day. These tips should help ease you into the game quicker. Much love to you three randy lads. =)

@hatfilms you can throw the parts you find and toss them up higher (fixing things comes up later as well) Also if you destroy the banners at those little camps of goblins you found with the chests they drop keys to open the chest.

18:24 their sudden bursts of madness and shouting highly entertain me! This game looks fun, though I do hope once you get into it there's more variety in the core gameplay loop than "mine, upgrade, fight, repeat". The Elven "outdoor" area looked pretty cool and visually distinct.

I kinda suspect all those big walls of stone they could mine might have had iron hidden in them at higher points than where they dug all those 1x1 tunnels straight through, but it's just as possible that no, no fuck you (according to the game design). lol

Even though I'd like to see this series continued, I doubt it will based on classic Smith behavior. The game is pretty solid, sure there would be some combat improvements needed for it to be great, but Valheim wasn't perfect out of the gate either. The lads proved though that you can run up to the better gear requirement wall with just sticks and stones, without actually doing any upgrades on the way. Their seed seemed to be polar opposite of mine, I had loads of iron but coal was unobtanium.

This game comes across as a rather mediocre suvival crafting that's trying to get by on an IP license. Which is a shame, because I'm a fan of dwarves generally.

Same. the concept of "Valheim, but it's Dwarves in Moria" sounds solid to me, but the reality seems somewhat underwhelming and insipid. And the time period it's set in means there's no chance of meeting the Balrog, so what's the threat? Where are Valheim's Forsaken? Boiks, if you're there, how do you feel this measures up against other games in this space? Did you feel this game had any kind of USP outside of the licensed setting? Because based on these 2 videos I'm not seeing it

Yeah I had this wishlisted as it seemed like something I would have loved, but the launch reviews put me off and I'm glad I didn't bother. It just seems a bit... clunky or basic.

I have played through the entire game myself and can tell you that they haven't even scratched the surface. the game has boat loads more to offer. maybe sit down and wait for them to get used to the basic mechanics before you expect them to battle dark wizards. and ross as well as his advances =)

While I could see them going back to it and breaking through the early game barrier this one seems like a two and doner.

For the record i am 24. been watching these guys since i as old enough to swear without getting beaten by my mother.
