I was doing some research, I always wonder why Hathor got more notice as Horus' wife. Because Horus had 2 wives, one is Serket the goddess of curing scorpion poison and Hathor, the goddess of love. And with Serket they got 4 kids, while with Hathor they only had one (which might be the same as the Greek God Cupid)
@thethecat1005 жыл бұрын
Juiwei Yang oh I had no idea!! they say she is like Isis. serket. goddess of healing. and hathor is goddess of love and fertility and desire! any way they just say hathor for horus's wife but when you look up serket then yes. horus the elder. so when he got older?
@juiweiyang10335 жыл бұрын
@@thethecat100 I know it is weird, the mythology is very diverse in this arena. A lot of Pagan gods are base on real people and Horus is actually the first Egyptian Pharaoh that united the upper and lower Egypt, thus, consider as the first pharaoh of Egypt. But, the question is whether Serket and Hathor are characters that emerged around the same time or pre-date it and later become link to Horus. They do consider all Egyptian Pharaoh to be decent of Horus, which considering Horus is base on the first Egyptian Pharaoh that united upper and lower Egypt, technically speaking that ain't mythology, but full on fact. Could it be possible that Hathor is also somebody that really exist and it is Hathor's son that became the next pharaoh. We know Ancient Egypt like ancient China, the King practice polygamy, to allow having many sons, to ensure somebody competent can become the next King and unlike Europe, they don't need to pass the throne to the eldest son. Polygamy and having many children was a responsibility for any pharaoh, to the country, to ensure there be a competent heir to succeed him. Hmm...

I don't agree with those white washed pictures, it's in freaking Africa over a thousand years ago. That's like assuming white people were in America first because that's what you see now, even the pictures shown don't even represent the people that literally live there today. (simply because we all know black people were the first people factually so Egyptians having gods would have to be black because gods are older than us) but okay. I do believe Egypt became mixed race in it's final stages but they originated from Nubia which I think is now Ethiopia so they were originally black but being a port city eventually had all kinds of people. They're older pyramids in Ethiopia and more but not as large, their people migrated. I believe they even fought once with Ethiopia winning but not staying to rule.

It seems that you have not seen all the Egyptian statues, my dear, and you have not seen the genetic analysis. It is strange that after the words of the blacks, the Egyptians have become more interested in me. This, and with the genetic analysis, it is like mummies. Go and do that for me and see who your real grandfather is.
