It is said that when Zues prepared to fight in the Titanomachia in Greece, he told all the gods that weren’t strong enough to face the Titans, to flee, and so they fled to Egypt and took the form of animals to hide better, these gods later became the Egyptian gods who had been witnessed by the Egyptian while shape shifting in the Nile. Idk how accurate this is but it sounds logical from a mythologic point of view
@billychops12802 жыл бұрын
@@Sheseasyouthere then your point is non existant because you refuse to elaborate, and no not really the gods were just interpreted in the way that they were while in Egypt and so they Egyptians appointed them to different things like Sobek is the god of fertility and so on

Egpytian society is about 2000 years older than Greek so I would say it's not. That was just the Greeks trying reconcile the fact that there were other gods outside Greece hat were not there own.
@billychops12802 жыл бұрын
@@Not-Ap there were society’s in both countries at the same time, and also religion can exist before any true civilization is established, so even tho the Egyptians were more advanced as a society doesn’t mean that no form of religion or society didn’t exist in Greece but your probably right
@scientist3682 жыл бұрын
First of all that was when Typhoon attacked Olympus. Second only the gods that reside there fled to Egypt so Poseidon and Hades never left. Third the gods that left to Egypt send their powers to Zeus cause Typhoon was a beast. Now for the comments under yours no Egypt didn't exists 2k years prior to Greece. There are theories by the time we don't yet know that the great pyramids as well as the Sphinx were designed by Greek architecs as well as Egyptians (also the ones who worked there were paid workers not slaves which was misinformation about Egypt in general after christianity invaded Egypt like the plague it is, christianity and the rest of the monotheistic religions which are all basically the same even though believers deny the fact are the plagues). And there is even a saved document don't remember from which Egypt dude which says that Greece is older than Egypt. We still don't know which rly started first. But definitely not 2k years apart.

When Aaron threw down his staff in front of pharaoh, it didn't turn into a snake--that's a mistranslation. The staff turned into a huge crocodile! The staves of pharaoh's magicians also turned into crocodiles. But Aaron's crocodile was much bigger and easily killed the magicians' crocodiles. It was God Yahweh's sign to pharaoh that He was more powerful than sobek and all of the 9 other Egyptian gods that represented the cause of the Plagues which befell Ancient Egypt during the time of Moses.
