I have 2 bottles on my Kral big max and it makes it heavy too. I just ordered 2 carbon fibre bottles to drop the weight a little. Could be an option here too.

The weight is not that bad a sa80 is about 14 pounds and got to cut about with that all over the place and dont get me started about a gpmg with a 200 round belt on it but as always great review

Only thing I did not appreciate, regarding your 'style' of review (first timer here for seeing you), was your HARPING about the gun's weight. You're a bit of a 'waffler', but you DO a GREAT job finally getting around to pointing out most all of the gun's features. Thank you very much for pointing out TWO features... the lossy-goosey cocking lever, and the DUAL mounting rail for scopes. I subscribed.

deerflyguy Damn, GREAT point made. Besides, I sort of enjoy the (as Mom would call it) bitchin', moanin' and a-groanin'. If Mom couldn't find at least ONE THING to do that about every day, she'd end up sort of 'iffy' come evening time. Dad & I went bowling a lot at night sometimes.

Does it dramatically change if I have a .22 cal version? Please, I wanna know, because if it does then I'/m just gonna wait for the Hercules Bully, which is the better version of this rifle. >>> the newer version will be expensive, that's why I want this rifle, because it's in sale right now, and besides, I want the two tubes feature for more shot count :) , so don't tell me to buy the newer one. The answer to the question will determine if I wait for the newer version or not >>> In my country, the .22 cal. is almost the whole standard Caliber that you can get, and I can't even order from outside the country :( , dam* it, I just wanted a long range rifle, the more ability for the rifle to hit longer targets the more satisfied I can be. That's why Texan is not present in my country, LoL, it is too dam* powerful :) .

That is NOT the way to test trigger pressure. You can't yank it fast like that or you get way higher numbers than the real trigger weight. You have to pull very slow and steady.

I've just ordered this rifle in .177 as the .22 was sold out :( but there is one bit of info i cant seen to find is the shot count for uk sup 12 pound i can only find u.s specs did you by any chance check this out when testing

The .177 cal. gets so many shots that the reviewer is most probably still shooting his first fill, or might have lost count and had to start over! I just ordered one in .177 cal., at a clearance price of $749.25. I really didn't need it, but I simply couldn't resist it at that price. Big dummy that I am, I now have the Hercules in .177 cal., .22 cal., .25 cal., and .45 cal.!

Hell no, unless it's on a tripod,and shooting at ground squirrels all day. Over kill. .22,25, is fine,small game hatsans .22 cal. At44 or .25cal. Maybe bt65 . 25 cal 1/2 the weight ,1/2 the price. If you want all day tripod shooting 300 yard plus ,and you have endless air ,and ammo,10cents a pellet. Then by all means hell yes.

At 490 fps it is a pretty weak gun. I know this is the UK version but every one else can get 1,200 fps. The accuracy is terrible. Not one single shot in the bullseye. If you were hunting rats you would miss every shot!
