Just did a penetration test a few minutes ago. The pellet went through 6" of meat like it wasn't even there. I originally expected to find the pellet about 4" into the meat. If I hadn't used 1/8" thick metal back stop it would have gone through the wall as well!

Great video! Im missing a inportant point. The Hatsan Bully has a MAJOR FLAW... Accuracy because of the rail. 1) The rail itself is flexibel. 2) The second railmount is loose. 3) Withe some earlyer models the bottlecover is to loose. 4) The first mount is connected with a cheap plastic riserblock. 5) The stoppin is a part of the riserblock so its also cheap plastic. Also the pin and the hole are not a great fit. 6) The rail is attached to the bottle over, so if shot with a bipod, it will cause creep to your scope. 7) Bipod could break bottle cover plastic around bipod mounting location. There are diffrent ways to deal with this problem.. The most populair is the bottlecover-removal and attaching a bottleclamp for a bipod. If you go that way u still got to solve the loose second mount. In combination with this its known to cut the barrelcover and make an adaptor by treading the barrel so the barrelcover gets thigter. A second option is using the Hatsan Bullmaster rail.. The holes fit but u still have to deal with the second mount. With this and the last option you are deleting your rail! -What i did is remove and cut first part of the rail, delete the plastic riser.. Than u end up with a double dovetail wich i use for 3 riser bloks Sportsmatch ab3 because of the stoppin options, and on that an offset riser from Umarex.. than a cantilever scopemount (i choose Vortex optics). So i kept the stock look, but fixt all of the problems! I knew about rhis problems and still got the gun.. its that great! Have fun and keep it safe everybody!

New subscriber here from Nottinghamshire UK. I have the original Hercules .22, sub 12ft.lb. It's quite rare over here and always looking for Hatsan owners. It's one hell of a gun... 😁

@GaisaSanktejo 3 жыл бұрын
@@highlander200268 As far as I can tell, the non-certified limit (sub 12) is to make it difficult to kill a human with an air gun and to be honest, the restrictions on those of us who live in the UK are kinda extreme and in some cases, twisty and more than a little silly... There's a couple of examples: Its legal to own bows, crossbows and the like, but it is illegal to hunt and kill game with arrows/bolts. Its legal to own/use a slingshot, but it is illegal to use stones as a projectile since it falls under the "stoning to death" laws but you CAN hunt and kill game with lead shot, ball bearings and the like. There's a few pump action slingshot/crossbow hybrids called slingbows, which are perfectly legal when you hunt small game with steel bb shot, but its illegal to use the mini bolt option. It's legal to own an air pistol that shoots projectiles, so long as it doesn't exceed 6 ft/lb's Its legal to own an air rifle so long as it doesnb't exceed 12 ft/lb's The last to can be tricky if the air gun is tested by a firearms officer since they can test it with THEIR OWN projectiles and if the air gun exceeds the limit with THEIR ammunition, they can and will sieze it and you could end up on charges.

@@GaisaSanktejo they are and it makes no logical sense
@GaisaSanktejo
@GaisaSanktejo 3 жыл бұрын
@@highlander200268 Never claimed there was much logic behind it, but I think I remember some of the origins (please correct me if I'm wrong guys!); The "no killing game with bolts/arrows" law came into place because of how poachers and the poor hunted the nobles and king's forests etc for game to feed themselves, and naturally, said kings made it illegal to kill game with such projectiles. That particular covers hunting with bows, crossbows and the like where their projectile is an arrow/bolt. The origin of the "no using stones to kill game" law came into place due to its being illegal to stone someone to death, I don't know why, but the law has been interpreted as its being illegal to stone ANYTHING to death. I believe the sub 6 for pistols and sub 12 for rifles are as I mentioned above; it is VERY difficult to kill humans with such low powered guns and so long as they are within such low levels and as such, they aren't licensed. While difficult, it is possible to get a firearm certificate that allows you to shoot more powerfull air guns Similarly, it is possible to get a firearm certificate to shoot certain types of hunting rifle, shotguns and the like, but the UK restrictions on MOST firearms are pretty strict. I believe some of those laws were implemented due to murders, assassinations and assassination attempts, around the time the laws were implemented and they pretty much created blanket laws to try and deal with the issues

What would have been really helpful is; if you had given the length measurements + weights of what would fit the mag’s. I also suppose you could also shoot the 142 gr 11.6mm round balls in it ? I also have 14.49mm length hollowpoints 196 gr, 11.64 Diamiter, and the 15.09 mm length round nosed slugs, 11.06 diamiter. and 208.2 gr will these fit the mags ? 🤔

Something needs to be said here about the .45 cal. maybe even the all elusive .35 cal version of the Bully. They are mainly suited for hunting situations. Where you are not shooting a lot of rounds. THESE BIG ONES ARE NOT FOR PLINKING ! # 1 These Hercules Bullys take a 4300 lbs air charge and have a 480 - 500 cc capacity . Not everyone one has a top notch fill station to easily attain a quick fill for these ( unless you have a larger 4500 lbs. carbon fiber scuba style fill station with you ). A typical aluminum dive tank only fills to 3000 lbs. Sorry not good enough here. # 2 These are almost as expensive if not equally expensive as firearms to shoot ammo wise ( unless you find out exactly what diameter your barrel is and cast your own ammo ) . # 3 Again the fill, If you have a little 4500 lbs max Chinese electric pump They take 3 sessions of 5 min a piece to shoot only 12 - 14 shots, Fine for hunting larger game . But if you need any more than 3 shots you are doing something way wrong anyway. But if you want to hang around the bench and shoot half a day with a .45 cal. Hercules Bully , You better get you wallet out big time. You will need a top flight fill station and of coarse the very expensive ammo to do it.
