glad someone else noticed that also. Its NOT regulated and that would knock the velocity even lower to be fair if set for shot count maximization.

Old video but I thought I'd give an update on mine. I swapped out the tiny Hatsan tank for a 700cc one. I wasn't going for more shots, because deer hunting I'm only supposed to be shooting ONE and if I F up that one maybe a second. With the larger tank the first two shots are almost the same velocity and a third shot has is slower but only around 20FPS less. I have found the NSA 265gr the best for accuracy with plenty of thump for the 50 to 80 yards I'm hunting at.

Always so enjoyable your videos! Not a criticism as much as a question....but on many excellent airgun channels I always see the scope rings positioned close together and near the turrets. I always try to space mine wider or at the mid-point between the turret and focus ring/bell housing and at the front the same.....I think it's more stable and also looks so much better than rings so close together. But perhaps I am missing something....I usually am...hahaha!! The best from Spain!!!
@shooter17212 жыл бұрын
Well sometimes I like to shoot long range like 500 yards and I use Fx no limits mounts so by having them closer together, it is better for me to raise the rear mount to get more MOA. I hope this answers your question.
@simonspain60802 жыл бұрын
@@shooter1721 ...yes that answers my question perfectly, thanks! Yes..of course closer together would get more movement and therefore more MOA. All the best from Southern Spain and thanks again! Always fun and insightful videos!! 🙂

So far, it seems some like the Texan appear a tiny better build quality, but 4.57 Vs 4.57 against the Hatasan the Hatasn comes out on top, regard power anyway! The Umarex, although very powerful, is not in the same class power wise against the others. I still say. In the 4.57Cal, cat, " Ex custom rifes" the Hatsan Pile driver destroys all the Competition out right regard power! With the right slug its a shade off 740 Ft/p

I'm a dummy, so I'll ask a dumb question. Can home cast handgun bullets like .45LC or .45 ACP be used in a weapon like this with accuracy to ~50-60 yards? Maybe with a hammer spring adjusted down if necessary to compensate for the lighter ~230 grain weight of the handgun rounds to keep it sub-sonic. I'm thinking of clean head shots to medium animals like javalina and coyote. Again dummy here, please be kind. :)
@shooter17214 жыл бұрын
ohdogwow2 Pure lead is preferred . No copper but I did see recently guys are shooting copper coated rounds with a Sabot . Lehigh defense rounds .
@ohdogwow24 жыл бұрын
@@shooter1721 Thanks for the reply. I was wanting to use home cast lead. No copper jacket or wash. I mention handgun slugs because some companies choke the barrel in it's last inches for "pellets" and didn't know how that would affect a shorter length handgun slug vs. say straight full length rifling one finds on a powder burner for accuracy. I'm probably over thinking it. I'm new to airguns coming in from firearms and right now getting comfortable with springers. Eventually when I PCP, I may as well do it for real with a large bore. The springers have the 22 cal covered fine.

Very cool! Will hatsan be creating a new line of barrels for small bore slugs? After the last 3 hatsans I have owned I have hard time buying another one all 3 had very poor barrels and very poor accuracy. If hatsan updated there barrels they could be a real contender for long range shooting. They definitely have the power to shoot slugs in small calibers and no problem in big bore I can see. I love seeing the new stuff great job! That thing looks like a hunting beast!

Has anybody shot any of these things with sabot ammo. For instance, I shoot muzzle loaders. When I want a longer shot, I’ll take my 45 and shoot a soboted 40 cal round out of it. 54 cal with a saboted 50, 50 with a saboted 45, etc. I can see it being an issue with a suppressor, although I’m working a suppressor design in my head for this, but with a straight, regular rifled barrel, I see this thing being even deadlier with more FPS and possibly more if not the same impact with different bullet types.

Since that time, Hatsan has become one of the world’s most recognized brands in the shooting sports industry - delivering its products to over 1OO countries. This family-owned and operated Turkish manufacturer maintains a hands-on approach via vertical integration, producing its designs and components in-house to ensure that each product deserves to bear the Hatsan name. Today Today, HatsanUSA, Inc. has positioned Hatsan as one of the top airgun brands in the U.S. market. Located in Rogers, Arkansas, HatsanUSA, Inc. offers a complete line of high-performance airguns, accessories, filling equipment, and ammunition while staffing an in-house customer service center.
