The fight scene in the middle of Acci and Ssipak with the diapers vs the cyborg over Beautiful is one of the best directed action scenes in anything ive ever seen. It easily eclipsed the last third even though they upped the ante with all the diaper monster experiments. Its cause of how good the pacing, direction, and tension were.

I feel ya on the lack of animated feature variety that solely focuses on action. I was aware of Next Gen, I could see the appeal. Aachi & Ssipak hmm, rather interesting with its...unusual premise. Holy crap, what is this stop motion madness? Chuck steel is the answer, this is some manic IDGARA action right here. Hmm, Dofus, never heard of this, until now, I can see why its a favored feat. The legend of Hei, looks like a new favorite.

Mutafukaz is another animated action movie that’s a French/Japanese joint. It’s scifi anime movie based off of John Carpenter’s They Live, which itself is based of a short story called Eight O’ Clock in the morning.

I would recommend MFKZ. It's falls kind of flat in the end and I really wanted more out of it's concepts, but I still enjoyed it. It's got a lot of action and it's animation is well done and has an anime feel to it.

The backgrounds in MFKZ are gorgeous, best I've seen. Kinda related but MFKZ, Acci and Ssipak, and Lascars are like the trilogy of animated movies with very similar aesthetics and tone. I would recommend all three of them.

Next Gen love?! HELL YEAH, that movie might still be my favourite animated Netflix movie ever still. I think the reason why I only liked Nimona than loved it is that it really reminded me of Next Gen a bit too much, and while Nimona herself is a good character, I honestly think there were better anti-hero vibes with Mai. It's expected with a shapeshifter, but Mai's just human, and it makes her stand out from the usual goody-goody main leads. Odd that she never gets to swear in the movie, not even a "crap".

I have to admit, though I am a fan of comedic animation, I've always been back of my mind starved for some non-anime adult action series. Something we haven't had much of until recently. I think there's such an untapped market, and I'm glad we're seeing some of this right now. We've always had an Aeon Fluxx here a Venture Bros there, but it really took until streaming for this to get a proper look. Streaming sucks, don't get me wrong. There's just too much promise and not enough follow through, but we're just never going to see much of that kind of animation on mainstream cable networks.

19:45 Okay, but at least the Super Mario Bros. Movie and the live action Sonic movies got to have their protagonists do a finishing blow to the main antagonists. Dofus on the other hand, had something like that, only to have the villain just stop the protagonist from succeeding their goal. As good as Dofus was, good lord, that moment frustrated me.
