OMG - i was in this band - i was a teenager and student of Achaiba and also played with Hatters for Panorama and we brought Achaiba's Orchestra together with Hatters - it was so great. i watched this video and tears started flowing - living in Seattle now i miss it.

Well executed rythm. They did a good arrangement out of a simple tune without going off on a tangent but staying in the tune, Beautifully done.

Excellent review by the previous. I was 16yrs old I played tenor with Carib Tokyo that year and I couldn't Understand why we were beaten by this south band But now as a mature person I now see Very well performed and executed hatters. Spunk & rhythm Great job. L Byam the bx ny

This was no ordinary Spree but a Mayor Fete as the Broadway boys were winners from Prelims to Finals winning more fans with each performance. This was also a very Big year for the South as Fonclaire was 2nd, Tokyo with the Honorable Mr. Winston Spree 3rd and Antellian All Stars 4th. Stevie and the Boys just Exploded that final night and so did the Savannah in response to their Performance. Just Great.

Raphael/Ralph I remember those names from Silvertones. I was in the band with Boy Grant and tenor man Ricki and Carli from Germany. Remember Old Fellow and Singer Boy That year was music From Silvertones. We had great pan players but lord they had no discipline. Vick did the arrangement. Memories sweet memories.

for those who dont know this is not the original band that won in 1975, this is from a competition in 2000, back in 1975 bands were not turning their pans to the the Grand stand, also in 1975 hatters bass pans were BLUE not silver. and they had no coverings , in 1975 there were no Qudas, or Nine Bass i am amazed that no one picked up that i am an not even a Trini my father played with Despers back then so i know as he has recordings of panorama from 1968, when it was cine cameras

Yup this is not the 1975 champion version the bass pans were blue, the sound was much more powerful and better back then it was professor, myself,young Andrew Samuel on four bass Anton Roach from California which is in central Trinidad yeah we beat down them town bands that year , but they robbed south that year we should have had the 123 Antillean Allstars should have had 3rd place but they squeezed in Tokyo so the north boys wouldn't look to bad anybody have Antillean Allstars and fonclaire 1975 final night I wish I could find it
