Thats the running joke he's by far the most normal and reasonable character of all the adults but he's always used as the scapegoat for everyone elses crap. Same as what the girls do to James. It's meant to be a reflection of how if you're "normal" you almost certainly won't fit in with a typical Derry family.

@@sammiepittman3130 depends on the house, but for us, the Big Bowl is the size of a big mixing bowl, but made of porcelain and has been in the family for a couple generations, and only used for specific things (making my grandpa’s biscuits, mixing the Christmas/thanksgiving stuffing, homemade stove top popcorn, a few others). My step dad, notoriously clumsy, isn’t allowed to touch it, and indeed my mom and I and only one of my aunties is allowed to lol

My beloved aunt (RIP) spent much of her time smoking and enjoying cosmetics (she was super smart and lovely). Sarah reminds me of that side of her and other women in my family. The whole show makes me remember the good times with family.

I’ve seen Derry girls advertising never ever took any heed to it and then when Covid 19 came along I was shocked at how good and funny and all the cast were totally amazing show and it put Derry girls on the map for life and I am in love with Monica she is a very beautiful young lady and I love her so much it’s not funny!!!!
