I just want to thank you for your recommendation of the acne gel from Target. It is a miracle product! I have adult acne that I’ve learned to control by drinking more water and cutting out soda/acidic juices/limiting sweets. But stress gave me 5 pimples that were virtually gone in 2 days using this with witch hazel as a toner. THANK YOU! It’s was so nice to wake up each morning to a clearer face. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m considering unsubscribing from this channel. I’ve watched you for years Jess, adored your uni vlogs and videos in Edinburgh. I finished uni at the same time you did and was almost excited that we were at the same stage in life. I feel like the vlogtober you did during your masters was the turning point. And ever since then your videos have literally been haul after haul, sponsored video after sponsored video. Even your vlogs have turned into just you showing us what you were gifted/ bought. I know people watch KZbin videos for escapism but the sporadic videos you’ve produced over the past 1.5 years are starting to make me feel a bit sick, the sheer volume of stuff you buy and the money you spend is astounding. I’m not jealous by any stretch of the imagination but what you spend in one haul is probably more than half of my monthly salary. I don’t really know where I’m going with this other than just to say I used to love your videos and I don’t know what went wrong for them to take such a nosedive off a cliff.

A lot of people request hauls and whatnot from Jess, based on the few comments sections I've seen, especially round about Christmas time. I think for me, it's great to see things that people are buying when they have a similar style to my own, because it allows me to draw inspiration from it, and I imagine a lot of others do. I also kind of think that Jess' audience age is a little higher than most KZbin influencer types, so they're more likely to have a bit more of the disposable income to spend on clothes and makeup. But also, a lot of her stuff is gifted... and honestly, it's her channel. Subscribers want to know about her life, clothes and otherwise, so it would be silly to avoid making videos that people want.
