Can you do a little tour of your CM bed on your 4500? How you have things organized and stuff you carry with you on the road that you find useful etc. Love the conent!

Cooling system doesn’t go full on until even higher temps. If it’s not deleted I wouldn’t swap to 180. It anything replace the stock thermostat as it does have a pretty huge swing. It needs to run hot for emissions. Just don’t hammer on it and you’ll run it to 500k min. I’m sure you know this but just saying to others who may do dumb things to their city driver no-tow rigs.

Happy New year Golsch family from the Longoria's in Edinburg, Tx. Look up shinyrv.com they have solid stem dual wheel valve stems. Don't go with the rubber/thread on they tend to leak over time. Also when you have them installed make sure before you leave they line up and don't rub the rim. Tire shops don't care for your equipment like you do. New homestead looks sharp.

The axle would be an nice upgrade. I noticed you were pointing behind the existing two. If it can be done i wonder if it should go in front of the other two to help with the extra tongue/ pin weight. Its just a thought. I guess im just used to my 2500 wherr i have to watch my payload. But that texas pride im sure will handle it like you said. There 14k is way over bit with a 12in frame vs everyone else with 8 to 10in frame.
@GolschHayFarms
@GolschHayFarms 3 жыл бұрын
We're up in the air but most likely it will go behind. The 4500 can handle quite a bit of tongue weight

I was in the same thought as you were about a semi until this year I bit the bullet and bought a step deck and a 500 horse semi. How many bales do you haul in a year? All I can say is for me it was one of my better decisions for multiple reasons. But there are a lot of factors that come into play. The biggest ones for me are low manpower and free time so I can get 2 times the amount hauled in the same time as my 24 foot gooseneck at max weight cap. Best of luck to you!
@GolschHayFarms
@GolschHayFarms 3 жыл бұрын
You have a great point. I dont think we're quite at the threshold that would require a semi yet. But we are definitely heading that direction.

@@j.walker3498 Dont need a farm CDL here as long as you are hauling grain less than 75 miles from the farms address, or if you are hauling feed for your own livestock, even in a semi, only a health card is required.
