@Michael Lochlann have you listened to Next of Kin on Opeths latest record?
@RohannvanRensburg2 жыл бұрын
@Michael Lochlann What's interesting though is that even Dan Swanö says Heritage is just Opeth without distortion. Their influences and overall sound aren't that different in many ways. I would say newer stuff is more influenced by traditional prog, sure, but also Turkish music and fusion more than anything.

I love the complex chords in this song as well as the amount of arpeggiation used in the riffs. Guitars really do sound best when the focus is on the picking hand. Fade-to-LoFi at the end is also a beautiful touch, and makes the inspiration for this music quite clear. Hope we can buy a tab book soon!

Epic! One of my friends just referred me to this band today and I am loving all the tracks so far.. ofc I am familiar with Misha and Periphery but did not realize he has another band which is great. Serious Opeth influence on this one which is my all time favorite band, also love The Drapery falls specifically, which I covered with a band long time back, also LOVE the low-fi part in the end.. seems like I found myself a new favorite band here!

Also please do a physical release of this album! I love the mad playing but what I find ends up lingering the most is the melancholic atmospheres you guys are able to create in songs like this and Norway José. Don't usually have synesthesia but I get some form with your chord progressions.
