I live not too far from here and I was always told at the bottom of the hill you’re supposed to stop and let the bride into your backseat, drive up the 13 curves and let her out at the top to reunite her with her husband. I’ve never been brave enough to try it lol

That sounds terrifying, and now I want to try it, haha

To get the full experience you have to hike it on foot😎 jkjk But if you really want to experience a ghostly vibe, walk the dirt portion of Higbee Beach road from the pavement out to the canal. But don't go alone without protection because some creeps have also been known to hangout out there.

I live nearby and drive this road all the time, haven't ever seen anything. In fact, I didn't even know about the Ghost Bride until quite a long time after I moved here.

If you haven't heard of it yet, in Albany NY there are a few different legends. There's Normanskill Rd (You can google the history, very dark)- people live on the road, the old church is blocked off, but you can hear screams along the road, and people have had ghosts show up in their car. Myself included when I was a child going down it with my mother. And a little ways down the main road from there is a cemetary that holds the Everlasting candle. It's said the candle remains lit, even in the rain and it's a story about a prom queen that was killed along the road, or a girl attending prom, and just like this, people have picked her up. She gives you her address, wanting to go home. But after a while, she disappears. All she wants to do is go home. But thanks for letting us know about this one! I'm gonna have to check it out.

I went to Cornell for undergrad, then lived in Syracuse for two additional years for graduate school and I don’t ever remember seeing this road or hearing about it. I did a lot of driving for my part time job with a liquor promotion company, working events at bars and restaurants all over central NY and dated a guy whose family lived in Manlius. Would have thought I would have at least heard of it. Weird.

I stumbled across your channel because I was doing research for my thesis. you did a video on a subject I was looking for more information on. It was very easy to listen to your story and it helped me find more information. I honestly believe your channel deserves more success.

I did this when I lived out there. It's a specific one of the curves you see her, not the whole road. I forget now which one. I want to say its the 7th curve. I was in the middle of two of my friends on a bench seat in the car. The left side was warm, the right side was ice cold. I was literally half warm, half freezing. She's real, I wish I had really seen her, but I definitely felt her.

Oh man, that's so terrifying. I'll have to go back and check out that one specific curve!

As someone who both live in the state of NY (not far from Syracuse actually) and have also done a ton of studies of the personal, and went ghost hunting as well many times, I fricking love this video. And I agree with everything that you have said to. When there's a legend about ghosts, our eyes will sometimes play tricks on us. I have tested it on a friend as well. But hey, maybe one of these days, I'll drive on this road during the night.

I don't believe in ghosts at all. But I did see a girl in white sitting on a guardrail in Camillus. It was 1am and a blizzard and she was standing there doing nothing. She had on a nightgown. My friend said..."should we pick her up?" And we both thought it was too strange and kept driving.

@TheCuriousWorld this road looks super creepy in the fall when there's no leaves on the trees. So one road very surprised you haven't covered is Cossart Road in Pennsylvania. This road is like world famously haunted. So much so that M. Night Shyamalan used it as a backdrop in his movie The Village. There are woods on both sides and it is said that The Cult House is located in the woods. This was the old DuPont family house which is a creepy story in itself. The roads main ghosts are that of three teenage boys that were shot and killed by the Johnston Gang. This story was told in an extremely underrated crime drama starring Sean Penn and Christopher Walken called At Close Range. Madonna's song Live to Tell was written for the film and if you watch the film it actually shows the part where the three teens are murdered including one being killed by his own father. This was to keep them from testifying against their burglary ring.

Very cool, never heard of this urban legend before. Unfortunately most of these haunted sites usually turn up uneventful. Around here in NJ we have many supposed "haunted" places. The devil's teeth , Milford road, the devil's tree. I've been all over , and most of them are pretty tame. I can recommend you check out the fabled roseacrucian pyramids in Quakertown, and untemeyer park in Yonkers, these were highly occultic and spooky. Carry on wayward girl 👻
