Thanks for the outstanding visual tour of Mount Vernon. I have been there numerous times. Every year on the date of Washington's Birthday they have free admittance. Its a beautiful and very interesting place. The view of the Potomac River is majestic!

I went to Cornell for undergrad, then lived in Syracuse for two additional years for graduate school and I don’t ever remember seeing this road or hearing about it. I did a lot of driving for my part time job with a liquor promotion company, working events at bars and restaurants all over central NY and dated a guy whose family lived in Manlius. Would have thought I would have at least heard of it. Weird.

This story really impresses me. I'm curious to know if the house and the place where they took these photographs still exist. What do you think the place where these photographs were taken a little over a hundred years ago looks like today?

This is fantastic. Your John Andre video gave me motivation and set me off on a history kick that has led me to see all of the Andre sights near Tappan NY , Mount Vernon, Washington DC, Monmouth Battlefield, Morristown Encampment, Valley Forge as well as the Freedom Trail in Boston, all within the past few years. Next I plan on visiting Richmond and Jamestown/Monticello..as well as Gettysburg later in the year. Your videos are awesome, and again motivated me to see the historical sites. Well done!

To make a long story short, my wife and I visited Robert the Doll while we were in Key West. I didn't ask permission to photograph or videotape him. When I played back the video I shot of Robert, it was blank with a black screen, but when you turn up the volume, you can hear screeching screams in the background. It's extremely creepy, but I'm a believer now. Some of the photos were blurred and fuzzy and a few came out clearly.

When you say the first women came the following year do you mean women that were family to those earlier men/children? Or were they just random women wanting to make the journey?

I've seen something at a distance once. The only explanation I have is possibly a large wolf. But, I wouldn't be scared when I hear noises. It is more scary when you don't hear anything. Like another commentor stated. If it exists. It is a predator. I once broke down and had to walk. The one time I didn't see or hear a creature for miles. As if everything in the woods was afraid. Add a little wind through the trees, and it sounds like car traffic nearby. But, don't leave your trail. Because, you would be deceived.

My father is Russian, my mother is Italian and I am an American, and I am study the Russian language now. I used to watch your channel in Russian and was very disappointed when you cancel it for your own reason. I was miss leaded myself too about all of it, and I wish you to continue that channel again, its helps me to find my own identity and better understand my inheritage and the secret of the Russian soul. I wish to learn several languages even though I am more interested in Russian and Italian. I love your channel and the more I watch it, the more I got interested in reading books and the history of our nation. Keep up the good job

Love your book reviews! I really admire your passion for horror and I wonder if you have a lot of nightmares? LOL. Books have trigger warnings? Really? You mentioned that and I was wondering if it were actually a thing? I'm really into audiobooks because its less stressful on my eyes and have a passion for colonial U.S. History. I love to imaging living through the struggles of the 1700's. Keep up the book reviews!

I only get nightmares if I eat a big meal and then fall asleep on my back, lol. Books can have trigger warnings. I don't ever seek out trigger warnings, but that particular book had a stressful topic, so wanted to mention in case anyone is sensitive to it. Thanks for watching!

I read both "The Exorcist" and the sequel "Legion" back in high school. I thought Legion was a lot scarier of the 2, so you might want to check that out. I didn't care for the movie "Nightmare Alley", I didn't read the book, but the books are usually better, so I can't say much.
@GermanSausagesAreTheWurstАй бұрын
I was going to recommend "Dandelion Wine" which is the book that "Something Wicked This Way Comes" is the sequel for. But it's also written in the same kid's point of view, and also it's only a tiny bit spooky, so I don't know if you'd like it. I must say it is a far better work of literature though, so if you feel like giving Bradbury another shot, that would be a good one.
