Haunted Temple hidden in Woods in Bedfordshire

I literally only heard about this in the last 24hrs , just typed in abandoned buildings in the woods near myself and it come up .
Pretty shocked as over the years I would easily have driven past a good 300 times plus and not known of its existence.
This Temple/ Chapel is believed to be haunted by a highwayman known locally as Galloping Dick who died in the area in 1800ad .
The area is know in folklore as the valley of the shadow of Death and it certainly gave of spooky vibes as you heard animals scurrying around in the undergrowth.
Anyhow hope I do it justice, watch right until the end as I added on a little extra content as I was in a certain area.

What an excellent find, loving watching you find this beautiful abandoned temple. I love the walk to the temple too, hidden deep in the woods and I can well believe the hauntings here. You're right it's not in that bad condition, wow, 1958 incredible. Thank you again for sharing this, you've got a great knack of sharing these stories!

Thank you, it was the shock value of it sitting there hiding away and I found it purely by luck, otherwise I would never of known ever , and it certainly makes you hungry for more, so I am drawing up a bucket list of them now to go and find and have a search around, luckily one was on my doorstep and is being updated tonight. The strangest thing with anything like paranormal, ghosts and a like is that it’s expected that no impossible cannot happen etc and so on yet it’s expected that people believe in the purpose the chapel was built for 👍

Ok if you mean the cross on the front it’s a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel it was a movement that split from the Church of England after the death of John Wesley

Millbrook Wesleyan Chapel. Just off the A507 in Bedfordshire. Closed in 1973, definitely not haunted.

To some it has been for some time , it is of course always debatable one thing for sure I did not even know of its existence prior to spring 2023 and had traveled past the past every other day for the best part of of a decade and a half .
