Just for clarification, she is not african American, she is Dominican, therefore did not grow up in An African American hoodoo lineage. She is initiated in a lakou lineage of Haitian vodou of her Haitian husband’s family. She was initiated in ghana to mami wata. Whether she finished all ceremonies and training or can do anything in a priestess capacity has not been stated. She is not a santera or orisa priest. Yemoja is not mami wata, oshun is not mami wata.
