when the bearings cost more than a reel, you have to start wondering. I was actually looking at these ones, looking for a 1000 or 1500, but they are way too heavy weight-wise for my rods.

Then it really sounds like these weren't meant for the type & style of fishing you employ. I bought excess amounts of these reels when Temu first had them for sale under $10. The majority of them have been donated to the victims of the Lahaina Firestorm & a few for those that i know here that are in need.

Pull it apart and install bearings. 99% sure it just has plastic bushings in the case.

Any 7'9" to 9'9" med to ml rod. I like the Guide Select Pro but found the cheaper SST at 9'9" to get the best rod & deal for under $100 at Amazon.

@@seppebogaerts1592 Do you mean are rods from Temu any good? Not sure as Temu doesn't ship rods to Hawaii. They did earlier but i'm guessing too many breakages. But recently the stouter sturdier rods they're now for the first time shipping to Hawaii. Guess they need the business as almost everyone in Hawaii fishes as we're surrounded by water. I've stopped buying from Temu. Before after i place an order i delete my name & card# on file. But they kept my card# on file to place a bogus order. I had my bank reverse that charge. When i started to look online i saw others with the same complaint including an ongoing suit against Temu for their business practices.
