My husband just got me a Havanese/King St Charles puppy. She is a little spitfire. I’m hoping to give her, her first clip tomorrow, am so grateful for your videos, especially the Havanese and the new puppy. I also have a Shih tzu with a heart murmur and CHF and a poochon. I do like your videos the best and will be using them! Thanks, Janet

I am so thankful I found your video!! I have 2 havenese that look exactly like these 2. I have clippers but no experience. I scissors my puppy ( 10 months) yesterday . Not a great job but not bad. I have 3 year old with hair like Chip. 👍 I scissors and clipped her yesterday but next time I'll have a little better groom !!!

Than you for this video, I never know what to ask for from the groomer and it always ends up to short. I prefer this shaggy look to the really short look

I wish you were in Philadelphia area! I had an awful puppy groom on my 5 month havi on Jan 6th. She shaved around eyes, cut 3 inch lashes off (even thought I specifically said Dont Touch Lashes!) & was trying to grow hair long to pull back. Since then, been growing full coat as I havent found anyone who know/respects havi breed. Only get sani cut & paws trimmed. Hair btwn eyes can finally be pulled back. I brush daily after walks, bath/ condition every 3-4 wks. Coat approx 5-6" at 1 yo. Has wavy cotton coat, easy to maintain w/ right grooming products. New fan of your channel.

Thanks so much for this video. You covered a lot of details that haven't been covered in other videos on KZbin. Any training tips that would help a puppy owner prepare him for his first grooming experience? I want to make it as positive as possible, for both his sake and the groomer's!

I found your videos tonight and couldn’t stop watching.I groom my own dogs and learn so much from videos. The price is too crazy to take them in and have them done anymore. You have shown some of the products that you use. I have to use allergy-free, scent-free etc. it was your clipper that I was wanting to ask about. Maybe there is a lesser product that clips well. I have a decent inexpensive clipper, the only problem that I have is that the Wahl clipper overheats and the blades and clip ones get hot. Most of the clipping session is spent cooling all. I do have the coolant spray. Could you please recommend something? If not, I understand. I am so grateful that you share your videos. Thank you so much. Janet

I love your videos. Thank you so much for showing 2 different types of Havanese coats. I have one type and my friend has the other type. We both keep our Havanese on the long side. We were both interested in the products you are using since we groom our Havanese ourselves. We live in a very small town where the groomers here use clippers and cut all the dogs down so we decided to forego going to the groomers and managing to groom our Havies ourselves. Any other tips for product we should be using especially for drying? Mine seems to take a long time too dry even if i put the professional dog dryer on high. He has the more silky coat. My friend and I have never used the igroom products but have just purchased what you were suggesting on this video. Any other suggestions would be great. Thank you! I wish I could take my boy to you for grooming but we live on the opposite coast in Oregon.

I have a havanese with fine hair, and it’s so tough to get a old leg look or him. His legs are scrawny so short hai cannot be done. But for a longer leg look, it’s tough figuring out how to keep it flowing because the hair is so thin and fine.

How do you get your people to come once a month? I can’t even get mine to come every six weeks.
@grandestyledoggrooming Жыл бұрын
The power of suggestion. Teach them from the time the dogs are puppies. Setting boundaries, i.e. not accepting dogs who go more than 6 weeks.
