You both should be proud of yourselves for making that hike, kudos for both of you. I wish my knees can support me for that long hike. do you know which days of the week does the helicopter runs? or how can I find out? I went to the helicopcoter's website and it is not mentioned there. Thank you so much.

I think it runs on Tuesday Thursday and Saturday but then again please don’t plan your trip on my knowledge the 1st thing to know is they change plans like the wind changes direction. Flexibility is key. Please call and research before making your plans. Thanks for watching. I can’t wait to go back.

@@MJustaddwater you are right but at my age and with my limited capability, I can only hope for the best and prepare for the worst and do the research for any little help I can get. I been hiking to streghten my knees as much as I can but the pain just comes and goes so this trip is still in my wish list. Thank you so much for your kind reply and specially your video that contains lots of information.

I hope you helped Russ take something from his pack since you had a mule

Absolutely - in fact we used the bag tag for his pack since it was so heavy. And then we just split my pack which was lighter like 18lbs to carry out. My pack only weighed 25 with food and water. So it was much much lighter! 🤗

How long did that take?

Hey we made great time went about 2. Mph until the end. I just went back with my daughter this year and we were quicker. We took breaks but it was about 4 -5 hours. Just depends on your pace. 10.50 miles. The last mile is the hardest but we took it one switchback at a time. Enjoy. Thanks for watching. Take lots of water.

Actually we used the bag tag for his backpack since it was 30+ pounds and mine was closer to 20lbs. Then I had an extra day pack and we split the contents of my pack between the two of us. Making the effort minimal. We were both happy how it worked out. Thanks for watching
