@jasonbusch3624

Supertech or Purolator filters are great and cheap. Fram are very cheaply made. I use cheap filters and good full synthetic oil. You can switch to full synthetic as long as you use the same weight or heavier. I have switched everything I own to synthetic even my old 1968 Sears Suburban 12 to 20W50 synthetic. No leaks in anything ever.

The only bad thing Kubota make are Ads - mainly as they don't have to bother as people who know machinery know they make good machines. I like Kubota machines & Shindaiwa chainsaws. They start/work - even when ignored. I bought a 9' cut commercial finishing mower for the tractor - it eats lawn. Bigly. It was 500 broken, I fixed it. If I didn;t have that - I'd have a Kubota. A 9' cut tends to be fast.

I own a golf course and have tons of mowers, Kubota makes good stuff most of my 10 mowers mostly have Kubota engines in them, I love them. I am a Toro man they make the best mowers then John Deere and then Jacobsen. Kubota makes the best utility tractor. That engine will out live us.

Kubota f3060 is a super mower with four wheel drive. I can tell you my neighbor has one he bought new some years back. He promised me that he would sell me the unit when he retires and moves to Florida. That is be in a few years. The unit does not even have four hundred hours on the clock. Kubota fuel efficiency and reliability is probably just as very good if not better than a John Deere, period. Nice machine, how many hours does it have on the clock ??? Forget one thing, when birds drop bombs on a machine it means good luck Tin man. Peace

@@tinmanssaws with your lawn a 72 is a good idea. A Deere f1145 or f1445 would be comparable in the age/capability/price scale. I just know Deere and it’s more popular locally. Honestly the best value around here is a used golf course mower provided you can avoid rocks. You can get 3 gang front mowers for 1/2 the price of an f

@@tinmanssaws I'm only running a 60" deck on mine. Would have preferred the 72, but I got it for $6k so I'm not going to complain. Just need to add the independent front break package so that it handles like the 2400. The 2400 I ran had a 72' deck and was practically unstoppable even in really tall wet grass. Can't imagine what it would take to slow a 38 hp machine down. Having said that, when they get stuck, they really get stuck. This i learnedthe hard way... lol. Glad to see someone else getting good use from one of these. Any plans to ad a blade or a blower on the front? Up your way, a blower and a cab might make that a pretty useful machine in the winter also.

I am rebuilding the transmission in our Kubota BX2200 as I watch this. The thrust plate washer that the drive pump pistons run against was not hardened properly, I had it hardness tested and were the pistons ride was not hardened. $156.00 US for a washer! This one may out cost my John Deeres for parts. Lasted about 1000 hrs. Farmertechs and now the Kubota must be my luck. Looking at a comercial Hustler Zero turn.

Your reasonings are precisely why I mow most everything with a pull behind 48" swisher brush hog pulled behind the ATV. The cuts aren't super wide but hot damn you make those laps faast. I'm adjusted to cut level at my preferred cut length, and when I jack it up higher its nose-high for eating pasture areas.

One thing you didn't touch on with a commercial mower is...When weather, work or life doesn't allow getting the grass mowed immediately and it gets slights ahead of you. A big ole diesel will just power thru it and that little craftsman will throw a rod!👍 I went from 8 hours on a Ford 8n with a finish mower to 2.5 hours with a 72" Kubota Zero in 2009 and life has never been better.😎
