I was there, and it was incredible. The only slight disappointment was that they didn't play Earthmover but closing the show with A Quick One into Sisyphus made up for it.

This live version of Burial Society is so, so good. I saw them in Austin last year and I absolutely love how they have retuned all their songs to be better live experiences. They've clearly worked on to make their live performances to much more powerful than they've been in the past. Like the glow up has been insane if you've been following them for years.

They actually performed A Quick One live? Historic

They did too after Earthmover to close their show in New York back in 2019 at Brooklyn Bazar. They even played I Don't Love before Earthmover. I do prefer this rendition, though: it's fuller and way more textured. Also, I just suddenly realized they played Sisyphus in the key of Stars and Air, and Dan is singing the lyrics he wrote for it, not the ones he did for Sisyphus, which is interesting. I don't know which predates which...

@@Thominiho10 I've heard about them performing I Don't Love at some point but I don't think any recordings of it have ever surfaced online, which is truly a shame. Hopefully they start performing more songs from their discography in the near future, if this show is considered as a sign of things to come
@Thominiho103 ай бұрын
I vividly remember Dan asking the crowd to sing along I Don't Love with him, confessing it would be a difficult one for him to sing. Also, let’s hope Emptiness Will Eat The Witch as an opener or a closer, one day!

HELL YESSSSS i was at this show!!!!! got him to sign my original hand numbered CD copy of Deathconsiousness and talked with him a bit, and we even talked about his old mid-2000s band In Pieces :) my youtube upload of their last album was apparently the only way he was able to listen to it for the first time in YEARS and i was so honored and surprised!! anyway this show was absolutely killer and i'm glad you recorded this so that i can relive this night anytime i want to 🩷
