Pronouncing each and every letter of a word clearly is something I'm definitely interested in. While I can understand and type to a sufficient degree, I feel pronouncing words in a manner that it becomes totally clear even to a very new person is something I struggle with. Not just English, I've seen that happen in my native language as well. I'll gladly watch anything that helps me in this regard.

Dear Anna Thank you so much for everything you're doing, you know grammar is the easiest aspect for me in English, cause I once understood it, and then only use it in the right way, but what I really struggle with is Pronunciation in English, earlier I didn't know that I should Pronounce all the sounds Carefully not to be rood or understood wrong.....I'm 19 and I'm only started to work on my pronunciation with Your Help and Your Explanations!!! I dream about getting though a little bit similar with beautiful pronunciation as you've got!!! And you know your last video was incredibly helpful and useful for me and for everybody with the Explanation ( how to say Sounds Correctly and all the articulation and speaking practice) Pronunciation is the one thing which is getting really hard for me, as I'd been learning English for many years from school and only a few month ago I realized ( taking into consideration all the information from you and some other people) that I had been studying without paying any attention about right pronunciation in English ( American or British)... ( even TH sound is still hard for me to use during my speech, cause I need to stop and only then make a right sound ( not sink, but THink , for instance) ) and now I try not to get down as I need someone I can learn from and keep working on it, and you help me so much!!! Appreciate it! You just deserve Thousands of likes and Sharings!!! I hope one day, I wil be able to visit America and meet you! You're wonderful!

I think the same as you. I've been at the same level for years. I hope one day we can speak English like him. I would very much like to bring my English to a good level in 2023. But I can't reach the level I want by just watching English videos and memorizing words. I need someone with whom I can practice speaking English. However, I think I can improve my English knowledge in this way. If you want, we can practice speaking together.

A suggestion: You need a blackboard to explain, or talk about, these grammar themes. Put the examples by written, and make pauses to allow the audience understand what you are explaining, sentence by sentence. P.D.- I'm a professor and these are just suggestions to improve the pedagogy.

Excellent summary and examples, Hannah! I would also like to add that new English learners may hear native speakers use these INCORRECTLY! So often, I hear (even professionals!) omit “have/had” when speaking in these tenses. It is not uncommon to hear a native speaker say (incorrectly) “I seen that, too!” Instead, they should have said: “I have seen that, too!” Another incorrect example: “I been working out for an hour.” It should be- “I have been working out for an hour.” Or it could be said with the contraction: “I’ve been working out for an hour.” Doesn’t that sound SO much better? 😊 As a native speaker and professional pronunciation coach, I feel sorry for new English learners who are trying to learn the correct grammar and proper way to speak, but then hear incorrect speech from native speakers … which leaves them confused or learning poor habits. Instead- use these accurate tips from this video and share with all your English learner friends! This was an excellent video for clarification- so thank you for teaching learners the CORRECT grammar! ❤ Let’s return English to the “gold standard” for clarity and clear communication! I am all for it! (No judgement against new English learners… just supporting accurate learning!)
@YoelMonsalve Жыл бұрын
But, wouldn't it be that they are indeed contracting the modal verbs, like in "they should've", but pronouncing it so fast that it sounds like "shoudaf" and the "have" is almost not perceivable.
@YoelMonsalve Жыл бұрын
I agree with you that English should be "returned" to gold standards, and be ALWAYS correctly taught. It's up to the student whether or not to use it correctly. But, instructors have to (or should) teach it correctly. Like in Spanish, there is NOT such a thing like "slang" Spanish. We do NOT have that. There one and only one Spanish, the grammatically correct one. It should be the same with English, I believe.
@YoelMonsalve Жыл бұрын
I'm tired to hear so many things like "American English is relaxed", "American English has not to obey grammar rules", and so on. That's a bad habit.
@annemaki4029 Жыл бұрын
@@YoelMonsalve That’s a good possibility in some cases… but for those I have observed, they are simply omitting the contraction. I can see their faces and pronunciation and they simply are not saying it at all. It unfortunately makes them sound very unprofessional and less educated than they actually are. Great inquiry though!
