Your sentence is more apt, but "would have been tired today" also works because it can be a summary of how the speaker has been feeling today up to the time he makes this comment on it. The speaker is saying that he/she hasn't been tired so far today.

Easy trick to learn using would be and would have been is that When you are talking about being something , someone you use would be For ex: If I hadn't passed MBBS I wouldn't be a doctor today If my parent hadn't sent me for my music sessions properly then I wouldn't be a singer today If had learned Accounts properly I would be an Accountant today On the contrary, would have been is used when you are talking about other feelings than being something For ex: If I had eaten less sweets I wouldn't have been in such a pathetic condition. (See here you are talking about a situation not being someone{any proffesion or person}) If he had sung for the concert he would have been treated nicely. I hope it helps!!

Isn't it the grammatically correct way to say: "What would your name have been in the 1920s?" instead of saying "What would have been your name?" (You use the latter in the skit and I'm really surprised!)

9:03 Could somebody please explain the phrase "If Vanessa were born in the 1920s, her name would have been Margaret"? It is taught usually that there are 2nd and 3rd conditionals. But in 3rd conditional form with "had" is used. And this phrase should sound like "If Vanessa had been born in ..." Why do we see here "were born" instead?

Correct me if I am wrong but I think that the example you have made about names in 1920's is correct, we can say " if I were born in 1920's my name would be Margaret " it is the second conditional if clause besides it would be more obvious if you separated between "I would have been+ p.pverb " and "I would have +adjective " because the first one is passive tense whereas the second is default clause .
