Thank you Closite, that's a really kind message. I do like the V2, i personally prefer the V2 over the V3 and I believe it's dropped in price since we reviewed it too which is a bonus. Just make sure you have some good lighting on yourself as you would with any webcam and it should do the job :)

How does it set to 1440p? I don't understand because at 0:44 there isn't this resolution. Thanks

That's actually a very good point which I completely overlooked. You can set the resolution in OBS to 1440p if that's the resolution you wish to use, but the digital zooms are 1920x1080, 1600x1200, 1280x720 and 960x544. So i'm wondering how you get back to the 1440p resolution. I no longer have the webcam unfortunately else I would have another play around with it. Unless when you set the webcam to 1440p, then that zooms change with it, so far than the 2x zoom being 1600x1200 then it changes to 1080p.

My use is to record KZbin videos mostly and not do lives. Does it do a good job in recording videos on mac?

Hello buddy :) It's going to depend really on how good you want the quality of your KZbin videos to be. A DSLR/Mirrorless camera is going to be WAY better than pretty much any webcam. If you're looking for a webcam which gets near to that kind of quality then you will be looking at the more expensive ones like the Insta360 Link. This one from Creative will be decent but not the quality that you see from the larger KZbin creators. I've not got a Mac so i've been unable to test it although it says on Amazon that it is compatible with the Mac so you shouldn't have an issue with it. You will want to manually configure the settings on the webcam on the Mac too just so you can fine tune the image to look how you want. I hope this helps.

Hi Andy, I just bought this today.. My question is do I need to buy table top tripod to put this webcam since if I attach it on laptop, I should detach it again as I close the laptop. In case I use a tripod. Where should I put it? Because the available space on the table is diagonal-side of the laptop not behind it. Then is it a good bargain as V2 version is SGD 44 V3 version is SGD 59 (disc fr SGD 75) 4K version is SGD 89 Waiting for your reply. Thank you.

Hello buddy :) Totally up to you if feel you need to purchase a tripod for it and have it permanently installed on your desk. You can pick up really small tripods which should do the job as the webcam is really light. You can also pick up a flexible gooseneck mount which can be clamped onto your desk, so you can still have your laptop on the desk and screw the gooseneck behind it which saves trying to get a tripod behind your laptop. It seems a decent price for it. I hope you like it :)

@@givengiven5287 the benefit you may have with the flexible gooseneck is that you should be able to have it directly behind you laptop so you are face on with it rather than it being on an angle unless that's the look you want to go with. I personally prefer the 4k version because of the manual focus on it but that's just my personal preference.

@@givengiven5287 I think quality wise they both look decent. Obviously not going to be as good as something like the insta360 link or elgato facecam but it's decent. I use obs when testing webcams so resolution can be changed in there. I know software like zoom or teams tends to drop the quality of webcams and last time I tried google meet then it dropped quality to 720p even though the webcam I was testing was a 1080p webcam.

Hello there Ghost Bond, I hope you're well buddy :) I think for microphone standards for webcams, this is actually one of the better ones I've heard. If you do have background noise though and use the noise clean out then it will make you sound a lot more robotic but it does a decent job at removing the background noise. I would always recommend having a stand alone microphone though over using the inbuilt microphones on webcams. At least you can get a microphone near your mouth for better audio whereas a webcam is usually a fair distance away from you so it will struggle to pick your voice up with good clarity :)

@@andrewwhite9048 Hello buddy :) I've not got a Mac myself so i'm relying on google to help me out here :D Do you have a program called Photo Booth on your Mac? From what I'm reading, you should be able to open that and there should be some options in there which allow you to control stuff like exposure, I'm not 100% sure if it will allow you to change the white balance. What you could do, is install OBS on your Mac and you should be able to change the white balance in there for the webcam. You can then enable the virtual cam option and then use your settings from OBS in whatever software you want to use.
