Use "have got" together when talking about ownership. This is similar to "have." Use "have got to" when talking about responsibility. This is similar to "must."

Thank you for another excellent explanation for using verb constructions in English. Indeed, the fluency in using verbs, especially moods, tenses, and verbal idioms is hard to master for us, the non- natives. What I like most in teacher Paul's videos is his emphasis on verbs as the main words in sentences.

7:48 Shouldn't that be in the perfect infinitive? I've got to *have arrived* at work by 7:30. (instead of "I've got to *arrive* at work by 7:30") I mean: By 7:30, he'll arrive at work. By 7:30, he'll have arrived at work.
