My 720s currently has started off 2021 strong with 1 blown turbo, 1 broken secondary air valve, a brake pad wear sensor having a seizure, only has locked me in my own car once so far, a front truck that doesn’t open, a jammed windshield washer squirter, a check engine light, an engine that stalls when you rev it, an engine control module failure, and a bad parking brake. I wish i was joking, but all of the above happened this year, and it’s already been a month! I’m proud of my lil girl. Seems to be happening to everyone that daily drives their Mclaren.

The Supercar dilemma... how to mass-produce enough vehicles to actually make a profit, yet the price has to be obtainable to not just the uber-rich. Now, throw in reliability. I maintain that it's the maintenance costs that depreciate these cars so quickly. Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren... it's like owning a jet; the cost of ownership is much more than the initial purchase price! The 1st major maintenance bill shows up and many people who stretched to buy the car then dump it at a loss. The spectrum: You're either exclusive ie Bugatti or Pagani and the owners aren't worried about cost, or you're a Porsche owner who's traded exclusivity for reliability and obtainability. Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren, and even Lotus are stuck in middle right now.

I think it's good that McLaren is trying to show that they are addressing their issues but a 4-day loan car doesn't really prove that much. If they really want to show that they have improved their reliability and build quality, they should provide KZbinrs like Sam 6-12 month loan cars as that would be a more valuable timeframe to prove actual improvements.

Even with all these issues I still feel McLaren give me more fizz (James May) than a lambo ever would!!

didnt james may literally say it doesnt give him any fizz over a 458 or aventador, in the Italy special where hammond had the Noble m600 and clarkson had the aventador

@@sesto194 I'll have a 458 Spider over anything personally but lambos aren't even beautiful nowadays!

I recall the first time I saw one of these, for me, they are still incredibly beautiful. (I find Lambos ugly by comparison)

Those dinosaurs at 11:17 are very close to where I live - was a big surprise seeing them in an STG video 😂 hope you enjoyed those roads Sam, that section of tarmac is so good!!

Sick video sam! production quality just seems to go up every single video. Just a little note: put the little thumbs up test in either of the bottom corners, it looks a bit better there

In my opinion, best videography in a while from Sam. Great edit. Feels like it’s back to the style/quality of content I used to recommend the channel for. Thank you. One small piece of personal taste: revs climbing with slow motion B-roll doesn’t gel well for me.

Great video here Sam, the videography is top notch and really engaging. Couple that with the interesting and often controversial topic and the style of editing and music makes for a great afternoon's watch

Loved the format of this video Sam, living with a certain car over a few days type of thing. Would love to see it on the channel again. All the best from Ireland! Looking forward to the podcast on Thursday now, big fan of that also 👌
