Hi Gabe, Just got fitted for the jpg 923. I went with the HL series 5-pw and a hot metal 4 iron. The loft on the HL was 3 degrees less than the other 2 hot metal series, but my avg 7 iron HL iron was only a couple yards short of the other two, but the spin and stopping power was so much better. Price was great compared to the other brands I tested. I also went with a 65g stiff graphite shaft. First time I’ve hit irons with graphite shafts. Suppose to receive end of October to first of November.

I just ordered a set 5-pw, tried stealth, g430s and these were the longest and felt the nicest, got fitted in a dynamic gold 105 r300 with mid size grip and everything standard, which I found odd as I got fitted at pxg with 0211s in a elevate tour s300, and 1° upright 🤷♂️ had a tendancy to hit more left with pxg probably explains the 1° (left handed ) these were awesome though my dispersion once I got comfortable was great, hitting about 165 total with a 7iron, look fantastic too

I love the hot metal pros, but as a player who hits the ball with a low flight already I kind of struggled with the 4-6 iron range, off a tee with 5 and 6 is fine but the 4 5 and 6 off the ground I really struggled with, I'm wondering if I should have went with the high launch instead, at Golf Town they really only gave me the 7 iron to hit which I should have paid more attention to

I hit those in my club fitting!! Loved them. I just didn’t wanna wait 2 months so I went taylormade stealth!! I hit them nearly identical
@petegalindez99612 жыл бұрын
So….did a thing today…I’ve been playing T200 and T100S irons from Titleist for the last year or so…distance and dispersion is good, but the feel is terrible on the T200 irons…the T100S are better feeling, but distance suffers, as does forgiveness…I had LA Golf 85R shafts in my T200 irons and switched them to AMT White Stiff shafts…the feel and consistency was better, but height did suffer…tried using lighter shafts with no success…I have Project X LZ 6.0 shafts in the T100S. They feel great, but I don’t hav the game to hit them as consistent as I used to…So, I actually went to my local fitter to get fitted for Mizunos with the hope of using the Mizuno Optimizer to get shaft options with the plan to just get shafts for my T200 irons…BUT, I tried the MP 225s with okay results…then he put the JPX 923 Pro in my hand and WOW! I was blown away with the excellent combination of distance and feel…My 7 iron swing speed has been about 78 with my Titleist irons and about 150 on carry when hit well. The JPX 923 was carring 160 with a swing speed of 82 with the Modus 105 Stiff shafts in them, and height increased from 66 feet to 75 feet with a landing angle of just shy of 45 degrees compared to 41 on the Titleist…So, bought 5-PW and will add a 46 degree RTX wedge in there as a gap wedge as I tend to chip a lot with my PW (46 degree) and GW (52 degree), so prefer not to have the hot face on it…can’t wait for them to come in! I will probably sell my T100S irons and keep the T200 irons to tinker with and have my son use when we play together…Lastly, I will say, as a prior Mizuno player (MP 69/59 combo set), I NEVER liked the JPX line…thought they were ugly, too busy, and didn’t feel like “a Mizuno.” These have proved me wrong…blown away by the feel…

If you check your past videos you actually hit the Mizuno JPX 921 HoTMetaL, the full-size club set you clobbered a 4 iron 223 yards! I watch that video over and over so this isn’t the longest for our new of it… But it’s still a good shot. The pro series is OK but I like the full-size HoTMetaL a whole lot better they are basically exactly the same club just a little bit smaller but there’s not really a lot of gains according to a Mizuno they’re basically just for the person that doesn’t like the bigger head otherwise the same performance.

@mikewakeup78182 жыл бұрын
Sorry I meant a little more forgiving.
@Brett_Mc2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. My 20 handicap is because I only play every couple months. I strike the ball well but not long. My 7 iron 34 degree goes 145-150. I did try the current forgiving irons like the ping g425 irons. They went further but bc of the lifts are higher compared to my Nike slingshot 4d irons (7 iron = 6 iron) I got the same feel. So I am looking at a players iron.

This hot loft stuff has got completely out of hand. Here we have a 42* PW and 28.5* seven iron. Traditional and most pro clubs are 48* and 34*. Where is this going to end and what good does it serve? It’s all for short knockers who want to select a club that makes them feel like big hitters. Now these Mizuno lofts require purchase of other clubs like more wedges. Manufacturers push this less loft to sell and consumers eat it up. A 28.5* approach seven iron is not going to one hop and sit. Because it’s a 5 iron with a seven on it. I’ll take apex and spin over ego boosting jacked up clubs any day. Great golfers look for results, hackers look for yards.
