I agree heavily with you Benny. Sex toys alone are not an issue and shouldn't be shamed for their use alone. What is an issue though, is how they are used by their owners to the point they become more secluded from social interaction and stop looking for meaningful romantic and sexual relationships with others. Over a decade ago my sister and I bought a mini blow up doll for my cousin. He'd just graduated from the police academy and was talking to this girl (semi long distance) who kept cancelling on their plans to meet. So we blew up the doll, told him that "Jessica" (not her real name) showed up, and then handed her over. It was a nice bit for the rest of the party. But, to address the topic more seriously, I can see this becoming a "crisis" of men and women giving up on real people for dolls and toys with AI, leading to population decline like we're seeing in China and Japan. I don't know if that's such a bad thing though; I don't necessarily think more humans = better planet. Plus, it gives the incels and creeps a healthy outlet. I mean, I still can't shake the idea of guys with actual full size dolls being creepy, but I try not to judge what people do in their own bedrooms.

Personally i think machines having the capability to replace the need for a significant other is a really good thing. Most people are miserable and there are so many couples out there who are only with there significant other to fulfil a selfish need like external validation, because they are afraid of being alone or just to fulfil their own personal sexual desires. A relationship built on selfish desire is toxic and only leads to more pain down the road worsening the self esteem and mental state of both parties. Having the option to replace a real life partner with an object means that people will date one another because the actually LIKE being around each other, drastically reducing the number of toxic relationships that develop otherwise
