ah yes the ppp loans. one of the saddest parts about that whole debacle is that a lot of the people who did abuse it and outright committed fraud are just getting away with it. this includes some politicians. because the vast majority are being forgiven.

I fully agree and actually I am glad that there is a dedicated channel to this now. I think the controversies had a larger impact on twitch than the wave of short form content though because problems between creators end up in twitch having to make a call based on business principles instead of personal principles and that made people feel alienated in more ways than one.

This can probably be another video but I really wish that for a lot of these companies that before they do massive layoffs that they would push paycuts with the people in the upper parts. I know it's not the American capitalist thing to do but it could help since we know in reality you don't need multi-millions to live comfortability.

The problem is, everyone is trying to stream and you have like thousands of channels with like 1-2 viewers. If these people didn't stream , streaming would be more alive. think about it. If you had like 500 live channels with 1000's of viewers in each channel, streaming would thrive but this is not the case. These small streamers eventually give up and stop watching streams.

bruh twitch plays pokemon is not a basic AI thats like saying a toaster is an AI. Current models of AI are usually neural nets or occasionally genetic algorithms. Neither of those bear any resemblance to twitch plays pokemon, and tbh even calling neural nets AI is somewhat disingenuous, they are more correctly described as a machine learning algorithm. I'm definitely overreacting, but its very annoying hearing people constantly throw this buzzword everywhere, oftentimes in situations where it is absurd

Twitch is down 20% viewership over in the last 6 months. Twitch CEO is super cringe and promotes a clout chasing style of streaming. They front page scams and big brands. Some which have viewbotted followings and viewership. The downfall of twitch is deserved. Also they have incentivized streamers to run ads 3-5 minutes a stream. So streamers are killing their own stream for some money. This is just some of the reasons its dying.
