I was in a auto accident back in 2006 in Michigan. I had full coverage and the girl that hit me had none. The vehicle she was driving wasn’t hers and it was not insured. Because of my insurance policy I was able to collect lost wages for 3 years. Well, knowing at the time that I was not able to go back to work, and my lost wages would be ending,I filed for disability and was denied. I got a lawyer and finally won. After my lost wages ended I received my first disability check and back pay. When State Farm claims found out that I had gotten back pay from disability they sued me for double dipping. They said that I couldn’t collect lost wages and disability at the same time. I’m being forced to pay back all the money from my lost wages. Even though I didn’t collect disability at the time of my lost wages State Farm claims is still suing me for even filling . So you’re paying for a policy that it’s even yours to begin with. I don’t understand how they get away with this.
