What I cannot understand is why we still have train drivers. All the idiots of the MSM have been talking claptrap about self driving cars, which will not be better than humans for decades to come, yet trains just ne to stop/start and report their position. Everything else requires almost not human input. The Docklands light railway was designed without drivers 40 years ago, do the same for all trains.

You can find an online chart where dairy comes from to work out who’s using it, but most milks will have their dairy name on the container if it’s kept in them. Inheritance tax is fundamentally immoral. Whether it's a family farm, a house, an estate, a business or bullion, these investments are not money. A kilo of gold today will buy almost exactly the same amount of wheat, oil or property as it did 100 years ago. Any increase in the value of these assets over time is illusory and is in fact a decrease in the value of currency through inflation, which in itself is another form of unjust taxation.
@robertstanley55555 күн бұрын
I think you are confusing inheritance tax with capital gains tax. IHT has nothing to do with the increase (or not) in value of assets. It is a tax on estates of the deceased prior to their distribution to beneficiaries, to whom such distributions are unearned income.

Politics of envy on full display. There are very old farmers who know if they die after April 2026 the farm they were born on and worked will have to be partly or wholly sold to pay a tax bill. The only solution that they have to save that farm is to die before April 2026! There are many many farms that don’t make enough profit to service the tax debt even over 10 years, some it would take 100% of their profit and some. People simply do not seem to understand that supermarkets refuse to pay a fair price and have squeezed profits to less than 1%. I’m very sure Labour know this but have a zealous desire to take the land.
