This made- for- TV movie loosely based on Priscilla Presley's autobiography is basically Elvis exploitation.
It's a melodramatic love story that captivated audiences when it was released in 1988. For what it's worth, Dale Midkiff is a pretty good Elvis, even if he does play up the kitsch.
Courted at 14 by Elvis (Dale Midkiff) and wed to him at 21, Priscilla Presley (Susan Walters) recalls their life, times and divorce.

And these two are never referred to, howEVER, in my opinion, these TWO -Dale and Susan , gave OUTSTANDING performances as Elvis and Priscilla! Much more so than the actors who played them in “Elvis” and ESPECIALLY in “Priscilla”. I cannot believe they’re not remembered-ESPECIALLY since Priscilla was the executive producer of the tv movie “Elvis and Me” in 1988, which was done MUCH better than the updated movie “Priscilla”.

Just saw the Priscilla movie. This made for TV 1988 mini series was much more in depth and really covered the book in a way that the new movie just didn’t sad to say.

One of the best mini series ever done of Elvis and Priscilla's private life. Still have the movie, even transferred it from VHS to DVD, twenty years ago. Susan Walters did a great job, portraying Priscilla. Just as Dale Midkiff did as Elvis. Song overdubs, were done by Ronnie McDowell, from 1979 Elvis' Kurt Russell movie. A truly great love story, well as its music, underscore!!

This actress is by far the best Priscilla I've ever seen. She looks a lot like Priscilla actually. Her acting as awesome. I didnt even know this movie existed until 2 weeks ago. I watched it in KZbin and it impressed me. Even after watching the new Elvis movie and the Priscilla movie, this one by far is the best.

He played the part very well and not overdone or in the stereotypical Elvis characterization. The Elvis persona only came about after his passing. But Dale does not portray him as a clown or a Vegas sideshow. It told the story. Always been a fan of Dale Midciff. Any part he played was genuine and true to life

remember watching it a few years after it came out,loved it! they got married after what happened to elvis and ann magret!! then elvis proposed to priscilla to marry him. he felt such guilt over it that he married priscilla. perhaps, because he knew her parents would be mad about it and elvis woudl have broke that contract he made to her parents

The actors were fine. The situations: very cringeworthy. Look, I am a HUGE 2nd generation Elvis fan. I think the world of his contributions and his sheer appeal, across all genders, nationalities, and generations. However, it was quite uncomfortable to be a father of 3 females, and to see a grown man kissing a young girl of 14. When we speak of Elvis as a community- and we do so often, we always tend to ignore the "elephant in the room. With his tremendous good looks, talent, and otherworldly appeal, he would have been cancelled, and his reputation tarnished. Highly inappropriate, but more accepted at the te, and for a megastar like the King.
